Make yourself at home in this spacious four-bedroom retreat in the friendly harbour town of Amble, just 150 metres from the seafront. The beach, pier and colourful huts at The Little Shore are just 0.5 miles away, making it easy to step out on coastal dog walks. Shops, cafes and popular local restaurants are also conveniently located within 0.5 miles. With space for eight, this four-bed home is a fabulous choice for trips with extended family or friends.

On arrival, leave footwear and dog leads in the hallway, then transition into the bright, west-facing kitchen. This opens directly to the garden through French doors, so it is wonderful for indoor-outdoor living in mild weather. As your pups wander in and out, sip coffee at the breakfast bar or tuck into lazy meals at the dining table for eight. There’s plenty of room for spreading out, with two living spaces: a snug with two sofas, a Smart TV and a games console, plus a second airy lounge upstairs. The upstairs lounge opens onto a balcony via full-width bi-fold doors, so you can drink your morning cuppa with fresh air and coastal views. There are four bedrooms in total: two king-size rooms with en-suite shower rooms (one with sea views), a double room and a cosy twin. A family bathroom and a separate WC complete the indoor layout. Outside, the enclosed garden has an artificial lawn perfect for dog playtime, along with seating for eight, a BBQ and a private hot tub with feature lighting for relaxed evenings. There’s parking for two cars on the drive, additional on-street parking and a free car park opposite. An EV charger is also available at no extra cost.

There’s plenty to do nearby – for a leisurely wander, follow the Coquet Estuary for 1 mile to the historic village of Warkworth (1 mile) with its castle (dogs on leads welcome) and friendly pubs. Day trips to popular local spots like Alnwick (8 miles), Craster and Embleton (all within 14 miles) make exploring a breeze. For day hikes your pets will adore, Rothbury (20 miles), the Simonside Hills and Ingram Valley (all within 25 miles) are all brilliant options.

Amazing house will fabulous views of the sea. Quality fixtures and fittings and lovely extra touches welcome pack with tea/coffee, milk, cake etc. great location to walk 5/10 mins to the harbour. The hot tub was another lovely extra touch. Highly recommend and will return in the future.

Gorgeous house, we(8 ladies} come every year, love the hot tub and love the fact it's a short walk to pubs and shops.

We spent a lovely week at Driftwood. The location (including view) is superb. Everything in the house was top quality from bedding and towels to kitchen appliances. We loved the hot tub and having the EV charger made travel very easy. Booking was easy and I also appreciate the call in advance to check everything is good for the trip. Our third stay here, and weve already booked again for next year. As it stands, we cannot imagine staying anywhere else, as Driftwood will take some beating. The property is maintained to an incredibly high standard, with no sign of wear and tear between visits. The location overlooking the sea and a short stroll to Amble centre is perfect.

We were very happy in Driftwood as it was very comfortable, clean, well kept and well equipped. The location was great and we really enjoyed Amble. Nice location and great restaurants and pubs. My family loved relaxing in the hot tub.

We had a lovely family holiday staying 4 nights at Driftwood in Amble. The holiday home was filled with home comforts as well as some extras, lots of space, very clean and in a brilliant location.
