This coastal cottage is a brilliant choice for a seaside holiday with your four-legged friends. It’s in pretty Craster, around 500 metres from the harbour and even nearer to the village’s renowned kipper smokehouse. With sea views from many of its windows and the Northumberland Coast Path only 150 metres away, you can look forward to long and scenic dog walks straight out your front door. The bright and cheerful home has space for six guests, and two dogs are welcome, making it ideal for families or groups of friends.
On arrival, step through the glazed front door into an entrance hallway for leaving shoes, coats and dog leads. This leads to the sunroom and main living spaces. In the open-plan kitchen/diner, you can gather around the table, with French doors leading directly into the rear garden – perfect for letting dogs wander out under watchful eyes. The lounge is cosy and welcoming with a corner sofa, Smart TV and wood burner for keeping you and your pets cosy on cooler evenings. Upstairs are three comfortable bedrooms: two king-size, one of which has sea views and an en-suite shower room, and a twin bedroom with side sea views. A glossy family bathroom completes the indoor space. Outside, there’s a landscaped rear garden with a decked dining area, children’s play space and a summerhouse, plus a lawned front garden. You’ll have driveway parking for one car, with additional on-street parking subject to availability.
For day trips, Alnwick (7.5 miles) has lovely gardens to explore, while Bamburgh (15.5 miles) promises sweeping dunes and an iconic castle overlooking one of the region’s most spectacular beaches – dogs are welcome to join you in the grounds.
