Located within a peaceful village setting in the heart of Lesbury, this delightful country cottage with lovely, long walks from the doorstep is ideal for anyone keen to explore Northumberland with their canine companion.
Wipe muddy boots and paws in the entrance porch before leading the way into the light-filled lounge/diner, which features a wood burner-effect electric fire that your pup will go barking mad for. The large set of patio doors in the spacious kitchen provides plenty of sunny spots for your pup to snooze in whilst you rustle up some tasty treats. During the warmer months, throw open the patio doors to enjoy the whistle of the evening breeze. Wash off a long day in the contemporary shower room before heading upstairs to retire to one of the two peaceful, south-facing double bedrooms. Playful pups can sniff around the wildflowers in the front cottage garden, with the rear patio the perfect spot for al fresco dining. There’s also an additional south-facing patio at the end of the drive. One private parking space is allocated on a shared driveway with additional roadside parking to the front.
Located on the banks of the River Aln, the sleepy village of Lesbury offers plenty of scenic winding country lanes that your pup will go mutts for. Just a stick’s throw from the doorstep is the coastal village of Alnmouth (1.5 miles), home to a beautiful 7-mile stretch of sandy beach, perfect for getting toes and paws sandy. Sniff out some of this area’s best local produce from the historic market town of Alnwick, 4 miles away, which boasts a fantastic variety of independent shops and cafes. There are plenty of ball-throwing opportunities within the rolling hills and riverbanks of the Ingram Valley, which can be reached within 17.5 miles.
