Leave your pup to snooze at your feet whilst you cook up some tasty treats in the kitchenette before washing off a long day in the shower room nestled at one side of the hut. On the other side of the hut, you’ll find the sumptuous double bed that’s positioned beneath a TV, perfect for lazy mornings and late-night films. Canine companions can let off some steam in the shared enclosed garden, which also boasts seating and a fire pit, perfect for al fresco dining. There is private parking for one car.

You’ll find plenty of sticks to fetch at Dubwath Silver Meadows Nature Reserve (5 miles), through the woodland and wildflower meadow. After a long walk, refuel with the pup at your side in a restored railway station at Bassenthwaite Lake Station, 5 miles away. Located in a national landscape with views across the Solway Estuary towards the Lake District and Scottish Fells, treat your pup to the 5-mile sandy stretch of Allonby Beach, 18.5 miles away (seasonal restrictions may apply).
