Salty sea dogs will adore their stay at this drool-inducing hideaway in the heart of Seahouses. With a garden for ball games and both the harbour and beach within half a mile, there’s plenty to please a pair of pups, while the uber-cool social space and three beautiful bedrooms will suit any party of six.

This impeccably presented property impresses from the moment you step inside. A hallway and cloakroom provide the first hint of comfort and convenience. Beyond, the open-plan social space sets the scene for companionable downtime, with coastal-themed accessories enhancing the ambience throughout. At one end, the chic kitchen and dining area has a door opening onto the garden so your pups can wander in and out at will. Once the dishwasher is loaded, settle down on plump sofas to watch the Smart TV; there’s plenty of room for those four-pawed pals to doze at your feet. Dog-tired after your busy day? Head upstairs to choose between a super-king-size bedroom and two doubles, all similarly styled and sharing use of the family bathroom and a second separate WC. Your living space extends into the enclosed courtyard garden, where there’s a mix of lawned and gravel surfaces plus lounge-style outdoor furniture.

Parking is in the main Seahouses car park – a permit for one vehicle is provided – so once you’ve unpacked, you can explore the picturesque village at your own pace. Sniff out the gently sloping beach and bustling harbour – boat trips from here to the wildlife-rich Farne Islands are dog friendly. For further waggy-tailed walks, follow the coastal path 3 miles north to Bamburgh, where the Grade I-listed castle has dog-friendly grounds, or head a similar distance south to Beadnell Bay, home to the only west-facing harbour on the east coast.

The cottage was nice, but it was supposed to be a relaxing holiday, no heating or hot water until the day before we left

Big drawback was that there was no parking by the property, the car had to go on the long stay parking in the town. A permit was provided but it was not convenient and even loading and unloading was difficult given all the No Parking signs displayed by residents.

Would not recommend this cottage,looks lovely in photos but is really basic in its facilities had various issues to many to list and owner not easy to.get hold of Holiday lettings on other hand are amazing and sorted everything out quickly and efficiently .The price of this property is expensive for what's offered and it needs care and attentionRead more by owner to bring it ip to scratch.
