Set within a tranquil East Devon valley and the only holiday property on its owner’s farm, this stunning rural retreat is the ideal place to switch off from the everyday. A shared driveway leads to your private parking area; step inside and there’s a handy cloakroom and a utility room with space to store outdoor gear and doggie essentials. Beyond this, the open-plan social space has striking structural beams above discrete areas for cooking, dining and unwinding. Cook up home-style dinners, gather around the six-seater oak table, then settle down to watch TV with the wood burner adding after-dark ambience. A king-size bedroom with its own en-suite shower room leads directly off this room, while a few steps down, there’s another king-size bedroom and a contemporary bathroom. A staircase rises to the final bedroom, a twin which sits beneath the eaves and boasts its own en-suite shower room. French doors between the lounge and dining areas open directly onto a lovely walled garden with furniture, a BBQ and drool-inducing views over the surrounding countryside. Feed the lambs, collect the chicken eggs and watch the cows being milked for a full taste of farm life, or enjoy streamside walks as pup sniffs out the wildlife-rich countryside – look out for kingfishers, woodpeckers and deer as you wander. Head to the East Devon coast for waggy-tailed walks along the shoreline; for a traffic-free trip, climb aboard the dog-friendly Colyton to Seaton Tramway.

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful setting.Really appreciated the outdoor seating and the addition of an armchair in the living room. Watching the wildlife in the evening (especially the family of pheasants that visited every evening ) was fabulous.Lovely hosts too.Would highly recommend.

Everything about our stay was perfect! The owners,Roger and Ruth, were so warm and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. It was a real home from home with everything we needed and more. The setting is outstanding. Views were amazing from the garden area which had a selection of comfortable seating and barbecue area. Fido the puppy,the duckRead morelings and pheasants and feeding the lambs were the icing on the cake! Hide

Definitely a ''cottage'' with a wow factor!! The website pics are good but in reality, the holiday home was far superior. The quality of craftsmanship in the decor was to a very high standard.

The cottage is extremely spacious, but with a cosy vibe. It is well equipped, with everything you need. Also the cottage was presented to a very high standard. We had such a special and wonderful Christmas at the cottage. Views were spectacular, everywhere you looked were rolling lush fields. We loved seeing the farm animals with their young.
