Bring together friends, family, and your favourite canine chum in this delightful cottage in the Peak District village of Flash. The spacious property is full of period charm and sleeps eight guests across four bedrooms. The village is the highest in England, and is the starting point for several popular walking trails. There are some excellent paw-friendly attractions nearby, such as Chatsworth House (20 miles) and the Heights of Abraham (25 miles).
Step inside the attractive cottage into the porch, where you’ll find space to store all your dog-walking gear. From here, move through to the cosy lounge, which features a striking beamed ceiling, a wood burner, and a Smart TV. The separate kitchen/diner is a sociable space with ample room for the dog bed. Whip up delicious dinners here to share at the bench-style dining table. A refreshing bathroom and a handy utility room round off this level. From the utility room, a staircase leads to the annexe double bedroom, which is a great option for those seeking a little more privacy. A second staircase leads to the remaining bedrooms and a family shower room. Outside, a small patio area offers a peaceful spot for a morning coffee. You’ll also find an outdoor tap for rinsing off muddy paws. The cottage has on-street parking, subject to availability.
From Flash, you can join the circular trail to Three Shires Head, where the counties of Derbyshire, Staffordshire, and Cheshire meet. This scenic walk takes in idyllic pools – ideal for the pup to cool off in on a hot day – as well as pretty waterfalls and ancient stone bridges. You’ll also be just 6 miles from the popular walking/climbing area of The Roaches and Ramshaw Rocks. Alternatively, enjoy day trips to the attractive towns of Buxton (5 miles) and Bakewell (16.5 miles).
