Ideal for solo travellers or couples, this charming one-bed shepherd’s hut in Western Wales makes a wonderful holiday home for you and your pets. It’s tucked away in the tranquil countryside of Nolton, just 1.5 miles from the dog-friendly sands of Nolton Haven, a pretty coastal village with rock pools to sniff and cliffs to explore on foot and paw. The surrounding St Brides Bay area is perfect for seaside strolls with your pet and, if it’s your thing, splashing in the surf (if not, there’s always doggie paddle).
Brimming with rustic appeal, the hut is cosy and stylish with a bright and modern interior. A small set of external steps leads up to your open-plan living space, featuring a cosy lounge area, dining nook and a comfortable double bed tucked neatly at the back. There’s a handy WC inside the hut, while the private shower is located in a separate hut just outside. After a day of exploring, curl up with your dog at your feet and take in the sweeping countryside views through the picture window. Outside, the private garden is a lovely spot to unwind with your furry friends, complete with a wood-fired hot tub, BBQ fire pit and outdoor seating. You’ll have private parking for one car in the shared on-site car park.
Offering a mix of rolling farmland and dramatic coastline accessible via the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, this part of Wales is a dream for dog walkers. For longer outings, wander further along the trail to Little Haven Beach (3.5 miles) or spend an afternoon exploring the independent shops and pet-friendly pubs in the cathedral city of St Davids (12.5 miles).
