Surrounded by lush, rolling countryside at Bodmin Parkway, this idyllic holiday home boasting a large, enclosed lawn and plenty of scenic country lanes beginning from the doorstep is the ultimate rural retreat for keen outdoor explorers and canine companions.
Boasting a beamed ceiling, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner that welcomes you into this bolthole is brimming with charm, enjoying lovely views that’ll inspire you to grab the leash, head out and explore. Light the wood burner to keep toes and paws toasty as you rustle up some tasty treats before unwinding on the sofa and admiring the view with your playful pup curled up at your feet. Each featuring a Smart TV, perfect for lazy morning lie-ins and late-night films, the two en-suite bedrooms, one double and one king-size zip-and-link (can be made up as a twin), offer a haven of tranquillity to retire to at the end of a long day’s expedition. Outside, the large, enclosed lawn provides plenty of ball-throwing opportunities, whilst the patio is perfect for al fresco dining. Before bedtime, soothe weary walking muscles with a soak in the hot tub. There is parking for two cars in the allocated bays on the site.
This peaceful spot of the fringes of Bodmin (4 miles) is perfectly placed for exploring every ball-throwing opportunity Cornwall has to offer, with the dramatic landscapes of Bodmin Moor, a National Landscape, 3.5 miles away, and the magnificent Cornish south coast just 12 miles away. Home to a large shingle beach and windswept walks along the headland, Lantic Bay, 17 miles away, is a playground for coastal explorers and four-legged friends alike, being dog friendly all year round. The Camel Trail, a traffic-free disused railway line passing through Bodmin to Wenfordbridge, Wadebridge and Padstow, provides a wonderfully shaded walk.
