A home-from-home for your four-legged friends, this exceptional stone cottage in rural Lincolnshire promises a fetching getaway for man and dog alike. Tucked away in a peaceful location, it’s the perfect spot to switch off, slow down, and enjoy quality time together as a pack. Sleeping six guests and two canine companions, there’s plenty of space for everyone you love to get cosy and comfortable. With fabulous footpaths and idyllic countryside right on the doorstep, simply grab your tennis balls, lace up your boots, and head out exploring each day.

Put your best paw forward and step inside, hanging coats, boots, and leads in the entranceway before padding through to the lounge. Here, Fido and Rover will no doubt claim the prime position in front of the open fire for a well-earned snooze after walkies. Switch on the Smart TV or wander into the neighbouring kitchen to start dinner preparations. Leave sleeping dogs to lie as you head upstairs to bed, discovering three beautifully furnished king-size bedrooms. One benefits from an en-suite, while the remaining two share a stylish family bathroom. Outside, a large, furnished garden is accessed via the lounge - perfect for al fresco drinks as the sun goes down. Please note this area is unenclosed, so pups will need to be kept close by. For added convenience, private parking for up to four cars is provided.

Surrounded by rural beauty, you’ll find no shortage of walks and wag-worthy routes nearby. The market town of Horncastle (2.5 miles) is often called the ‘Gateway to the Wolds’, with the Lincolnshire Wolds AONB right on its doorstep and plenty of scenic trails circling the town. After a day’s hiking, loop back for a well-earned reward at an artisan bakery or dog-friendly pub, treating both two- and four-legged adventurers alike.

Probably the best holiday cottage we have ever booked, will definitely book again. Furniture was seriously comfortable and very well appointed cottage throughout. Idyllic setting and close to the local pub, garden centre and walks from the door.

Absolutely amazing. We arrived by excellent instructions, the place was gorgeous even better than the pictures. The welcome goodies were a lovely treat. The dog was in his element with the amount of garden he had to run around and extra walks just a the end if the garden. Would definitely recommend and we will be back

The house is situated on the outskirts of the village of Thimbleby, with the local pub just a 10-minute walk away. There is ample parking and a secure garden for four-legged friends. The house was warm, and the beds were comfortable. The showers were powerful, with plenty of hot water. Lots of equipment is provided; we only made use of the kitchen Read moreappliances (oven and dishwasher). There is also a large fridge and freezer. The garden is beautiful; unfortunately, due to the time of year, it was a little too cold to enjoy it fully. I would imagine that in the warmer months it would make a lovely additional social space. There is a great circular walk directly from the house, across well-signed footpaths. It is just over two miles in length and takes you around and into the village. We didnt find a local shop in the village, but there is a small Asda on the main road into Horncastle. The bus to Lincoln or Skegness is a 1520 minute walk from the house, with services run by Stagecoach. We loved our stay and would definitely recommend it. Hide
