Pack the treats and head for this spacious lodge set in the wooded grounds of a family-owned holiday park. An easy-going rural escape for couples or small families with up to three hounds, it's the ideal spot from which to explore the Isle of Wight and its many dog-friendly attractions.
This laid-back lodge has a beautiful setting of mature trees and lush greenery. Follow your canine companions up the steps and into its bright and airy interior, pausing to appreciate the lovely views from the open-plan living space. Here you'll find a well-designed kitchen that includes everything necessary for holiday cooking, including a microwave and a dishwasher. Dine either at the breakfast bar for two or the dining table that seats four, before relaxing in the welcoming lounge area. Stream a movie on the Smart TV and, if you're feeling chilly, switch on the wood-burner-effect electric fire for a warming glow as your pups snooze in their beds. Another great asset is the utility room, which has space to store pet food and hang leads, and opens directly to the decking outside. Completing the interior are two lovely bedrooms: a double with an en-suite shower, and a twin which uses the family bathroom. The wraparound, enclosed deck boasts outdoor seating where you can enjoy an al fresco meal while your four-pawed friends sniff and play. You'll have private parking for two cars.
Take your furry pals for waggy-tailed strolls through the wooded grounds, spotting ducks, geese and red squirrels as you go. Ryde is just 2 miles away, where you'll find shops, cafes, restaurants and sandy beaches, some sections of which are open to dogs all year round. Well-behaved mutts are also welcome on the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, which you can hop onto at Havenstreet, 2.5 miles.
