Holidays are twice as nice when you share them with your faithful hounds, and this spacious house overlooking Fowey Estuary welcomes two canine companions, along with eight guests. Picturesque Fowey is well served with dog-friendly cafes where you can stop for a drink as you explore the narrow streets, with independent shops and seafood restaurants. Four-legged friends are also welcome in the town museum on the waterfront and the ferries that bustle across the river.
This light-filled and beautifully furnished property sits opposite the estuary slipway and has glorious views from the main rooms. The elegant, open-plan living area houses a spacious lounge with comfortable seating, a wood burner and Sky TV. A step up from the central dining area leads to a sleek contemporary kitchen. There are four delightful bedrooms across two floors. These comprise an en-suite double, a twin and two king-size, one with an en-suite, a TV and views towards the Bodinnick Ferry. Outside, drink in gorgeous river vistas from the front courtyard bench and the delightful enclosed rear garden. Reached by outside steps, it has seating and a summer house. There are two public car parks within 350 metres (charges apply).
Inviting local beaches where your canine chums can play all year round include Par Sands, secluded Polridmouth Cove and Lantic Bay, all within 4 miles. For gentle doggie walkies, follow the circular Hall Walk along the banks of the River Fowey, with beautiful views of the estuary and sea. Take a ride across the river to Polruan for a scenic picnic along the glorious South West Coast Path or jump aboard the ferry with your salty sea dogs to picture-postcard Megavissey. Furry friends are welcome at the spectacular Eden Project (5 miles) and in selected areas of the National Trust’s magnificent Lanhydrock (9 miles).
