Enjoy a taste of life on the farm in a Devon cottage that offers a warm welcome for six guests and six canine companions. Set on a 125-acre working farm in the pretty village of Holcombe, this rural retreat is adjacent to the main farmhouse in the centre of the farm and within 0.5 miles of a dog-friendly beach. It’s perfect for families or friends sharing, with the chance to meet the farm animals, plus a fully enclosed garden where pets and children can play safely. Your four-legged friends will revel in country walks on a footpath and byway along the farm boundary, and a village pub serving food is just a 200-metre stroll away.

Enter the spacious entrance hall of your holiday home and discover the light and bright lounge, with ample seating and floor space to relax in comfort. The roomy kitchen/diner has all the self-catering essentials you might need to rustle up meals for hungry guests. Upstairs, sleep soundly in three delightful bedrooms, comprising a king-size, a double and a twin, all with distant sea views. The bedrooms have access to a family bathroom. From the hallway, step outside and climb the steps to the garden, with lovely views across the surrounding countryside. There is ample private parking and a gas BBQ.

A downhill walk of 600 metres brings you to sand and shingle Holcombe Beach, where your pack can romp through the waves, before buying drinks, snacks and ice cream at the kiosk. A historic tunnel once used by smugglers leads to secluded, dog-friendly Ness Cove (5 miles). There are seasonal designated areas for pups at the traditional seaside resorts of Dawlish and Teignmouth (both 1.5 miles). Enjoy a walk with your happy hounds on leads along the Victorian promenade and pier in charming Teignmouth or head to Haytor Rocks on Dartmoor (16 miles) for magnificent views.

A fabulous cottage in a fantastic location! The cottage is well equipped and has everything you need. It is a very spacious property and there was plenty of room for us (4 adults, 2 children and a dog) to enjoy family time together as well as having space to retreat to for quieter activities when needed. The cottage is located on a working farRead morem, something the children loved and set in a beautiful village. Its an ideal location to explore the local area and has the added bonus of being in close proximity to a dog friendly beach. We really enjoyed our stay at Manor Farm and would highly recommend it. We are hoping to return again in the future. Hide

Lovely, spacious well equipped cottage on a working farm. We especially enjoyed the garden where you can sit and catch the sun and listed to the birds, cows and sheep. We took four dogs who all had a lovely time with visits to the beach, Parke National Trust site and Dartmoor.

Cottage was very welcoming, warm and cannot fault it. Only suggestion is to advise people to use main entrance to property as alternative is a bit challenging.

Hannah and Steve are so friendly and welcoming. The cottage was perfect, we had everything we needed plus the bonus of a thoughtful welcome hamper which was a beautiful touch. I used to have a cleaning business and very much have gone over the property with a fine tooth comb as I do everywhere I stay and usually I will find one or two things missedRead more however the cottage was entirely spotless, the attention to detail of the cleaner is beyond incredible. Great work Hannah & Steve we cant wait to stay again. Hide

The cottage is beautifully decorated and was scrupulously clean. It had everything I needed. There were a couple of dog bowls and towels near the door to the garden, which was a nice touch. There was a gift of eggs, tea, coffee, biscuits and a bag of treats for each of the dogs, as well as some milk in the fridge, which was a lovely touch. The dogsRead more were appreciative of the treats and participated in a scramble egg breakfast with the humans as there was plenty of eggs for all. The couple who run it were very welcoming and helpful. It is quite difficult to find places that will take lots of dogs - I have four noisy scottish terriers. I was a bit concerned, on the first night, that the youngest one might have disturbed the owners next door. He likes barking at night and joined in when the rooster started crowing at around 4:00am, and occasionally they all howl together. I was relieved that the walls were thick enough to contain the noise in the house and not disturb anyone else. The garden resisted any escape from my escape artist (the last time we stayed in a holiday cottage Alba had climbed the 8 foot wall within about 5 minutes of our arrival, and so I spent the week on high alert whenever I let them out). We really enjoyed our stay. The property is well equipped, comfortable and attractive. We loved the situation which is quiet, on the edge of the village and actually in the farmyard. We felt very at home and found our hosts to be helpful and friendly without being intrusive. Though we don't have dogs the downstairs space seemed to be appropriate foRead morer them. We would be happy to return. Hide
