Step inside this inviting cottage and enter a light and airy open-plan lounge/diner. Like the rest of the property, it’s beautifully furnished, with sumptuous sofas, a Smart TV and a pretty dining area. Leading off is the splendid kitchen, which in turn leads to a bright sunroom. Overlooking the garden, this bright retreat has ample space for pups to snatch a snooze. Upstairs is a stylish bathroom with a gorgeous free-standing bath, plus a separate shower, and three delightful bedrooms, comprising two doubles and a single. French doors from the sunroom open onto a lovely, sheltered courtyard garden with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. There is on-street parking.
Lovely scenic walks abound in the rolling countryside and hills surrounding Cowbridge, and you can stretch legs and paws with your pets along the exhilarating 14-mile Glamorgan Heritage Coast trail (9.5 miles). While seasonal restrictions apply at Ogmore-by-Sea, other sections of this great expanse of golden sand are dog friendly all year round. A short, tree-lined walk leads to dog-friendly Cwm Nash beach, with sands, a waterfall, and rock pools. Both beaches are within 10 miles. Picturesque Old Beaupre Castle, just outside Cowbridge, is one of a clutch of part-ruined castles. Visit the National Trust’s spectacular Dyffryn Gardens just outside Cardiff (12 miles) before exploring the bright lights of the capital.
