Take your pet with you to this inviting Suffolk retreat and enjoy long walks through the surrounding countryside. Sleeping eight guests, the four-bedroom retreat features an enclosed courtyard garden where you can savour the sunshine together afterwards. Situated 7.5 miles from beautiful Lavenham and 8 miles from Bury St Edmunds, it comes with a hot tub and seasonal use of an outdoor swimming pool for the people in your party to enjoy.

Head into the spacious kitchen/diner, where your pup pal can pad about while you prepare his dinner and yours. Call your friends and family to the table to dine, or carry your tasty dishes out into the fresh air. Follow your waggy-tailed chum through to the specious lounge, where he can flop down on the carpet while you sink back into the sofas in front of the Smart TV. Choose a book from the shelves to leaf through or head to the study area for some quiet time. You will also find a WC, a utility room and a bunk bedroom downstairs, then climb the stairs to find the remaining bedrooms. These include a super-king-size, with an en-suite shower room, a king-size and a twin, as well as a Jack and Jill bathroom. Take your puppy pal out into the garden on fine mornings and let him nose about as you enjoy your coffee. This retreat even offers a wonderful hot tub so you can unwind after busy days. There is off-road parking for three cars.

Plan a day out to spectacular Ickworth House, 7.5 miles away, where your delighted dog can wander the parkland, woodland and walled garden with you. Nowton Park, 6 miles away, is also popular with families with four-legged friends.

The owners were very pleasant and we're quick to fix the hot tub when it stopped working. Having milk, wine and crisps left for us were a lovely touch. It was great having the pool and a hot tub. The washing machine and tumble dryer were handy too. However, we did find dog poo by the pool and dog treats on the lounge floor and not sure it haRead mored been hoovered before we got there and also other people's items were left in draws. Just a small thing, but more mirrors and towel hooks would be helpful in a couple of the bed rooms. It was a shame as it's a lovely house. We did have a lovely long weekend away though and would go back. Hide

The barn is in desperate need of a professional clean. Too few towels, no bath mat. Needs new sofas. Kettles need descaling. Lounge furniture rotting.
