Inside, the fabulous kitchen has plenty of surface and storage space, including a central island for preparing and cooking meals. Once your culinary delight is complete, sit together in the characterful dining room to eat and plan your days. Curl up in the lounge as the wood burner warms your feet and paws and watch shows on the TV. As the night draws in, climb the stairs to the first floor, where there are two plush bedrooms, both decorated in neutral tones and containing sumptuous king-size beds. A family bathroom has a shower over the bath and a WC. On the landing, a seating area has been arranged with a selection of books so you can take some time out reading. Outside, a cosy courtyard garden has space for the dogs to sniff about, and a bistro set where you can dine alfresco. Directly outside the cottage is on-street parking.
The village of Docking has a handy shop and a dog-friendly pub where you can grab a bite to eat. Hop in the car and head to the coast, visiting Brancaster (4 miles), which has a wide, sandy beach, where dogs are free to roam. From here, sniff out adventures along the Norfolk Coast Path, which winds through the Norfolk Coast National Landscape, leading to marshes and spectacular scenic coastline.
