This remote holiday home enjoys a peaceful, elevated setting on the Beara Peninsula in South-West Ireland, 8.5 miles from Kenmare. The property sits on the Ring of Beara driving route, which forms part of the Wild Atlantic Way. Sleeping five guests across three bedrooms, and welcoming one furry pal, the bungalow makes the perfect base for families and friends looking to get away from it all in breathtaking surroundings.
The spacious, detached bungalow is decorated in a traditional style and boasts magnificent views of County Kerry’s rugged landscape. At the heart of the home is a vast kitchen/diner with country-style units and a large dining table. This room also has ample space for the woofer to set up camp. The separate lounge is a cosy spot to unwind after a long dog walk, with plump seating, a Smart TV, and a picture window framing fabulous views. The property has three inviting bedrooms (two doubles and a single), one of which has an en-suite shower room. A second refreshing shower room and a handy utility room round off the accommodation. Outside, the pup will be in their element in the large, enclosed garden, which has a vast lawn and hedgerows to sniff and explore. The property has private parking for two cars.
Journey into the colourful town of Kenmare to explore its independent shops, enjoy live music, and dine in one of the many traditional Irish pubs or seafood restaurants. There are also some lovely dog walks in and around the town, including to the ancient stone circle and through Reenagross Woodland Park. Cross the border into West Cork to visit the tiny village of Glengarriff (8.5 miles), where you and your salty sea dog can hop aboard the ferry to explore the spectacular gardens of Garinish Island.
