You’ll have a dog-friendly community-run pub serving local food and ales right next door, helping you feel part of village life from the moment you arrive. The cottage is surrounded by the stunning landscapes of Swaledale and the Yorkshire Dales – perfect for dogs who love a good sniff and leg stretch. This traditional terraced cottage is brimming with charm from the moment you arrive. The cosy living room features characterful beamed ceilings, along with floral armchairs and vintage travel posters to whet your appetite for days out. It’s a lovely spot to unwind while your dogs nap by the wood burner. A few steps lead down to the farmhouse-style kitchen, which has stone flooring, a range cooker and a round wooden table for easy-going mealtimes. Upstairs are two beautifully presented bedrooms – a double and a small double. The shower room has striking green tiles and a corner shower for daily washes. Outside, the garden is a real treat for you and your dogs, with plenty of space for everybody to stretch out. There’s a peaceful seating area at the top for soaking up countryside views and a BBQ for al fresco meals.

Nearby, the historic market town of Richmond (2.5 miles) contains cobbled streets, independent shops, tearooms and riverside walks, all of which are discoverable with your pet alongside you. Very sweet cottage, comfortable, clean, complete kitchen, lovely sitting area outside in the back, and everything needed to make a good holiday stay. Though note ... walking up the stairs to the bedrooms ... is very low and a bit tight. But we are two seniors and had no issue. Just watch your head.
