Canines, large and small, who love to stretch their legs among nature’s finest scenery will go barking mad with a stay at this handsome cottage. With room for families of four plus two canine companions, it’s a comfortable country escape that’s ideal for anyone who wants to get out and about in the Lake District, and offers tail-wagging walkies from the front door.
From the entrance door, lead your pups straight up the stairs to find the open-plan living space, prettily decorated in soft, pastel tones, and featuring rugged beams criss-crossing a vaulted ceiling. Comfortable seating surrounds a Smart TV, perfect for a relaxing evening at home as your pups snooze at your feet. In the mornings, make a coffee and enjoy the gorgeous views from the window seat. The kitchen area includes an electric oven and hob, a fridge and a microwave, so you can whip up delicious meals with ease, and there’s a dining table by the window at which you can enjoy them. At bedtime, kiss your pets goodnight and head back downstairs to find two bedrooms, both with ample storage, which share a family shower room (one step up). While this cottage does not have any dedicated outside space, there’s a dog-friendly pub on-site, just across the courtyard, and there are numerous walks from the door on which energetic hounds can stretch their legs. You’ll have parking for one car outside the property.
Explore breathtaking woodlands, lakes, fells and waterfalls with your pals by your side. Within 8 miles, you can reach Great Mell Fell, Little Mell Fell, Aira Force waterfall and the Castlerigg Stone Circle. Both Ullswater and Derwentwater are within 10 miles, where you can walk around the lakes or cruise across them on a dog-friendly steamer.
