Join friends, family, and your favourite furry pal for a luxurious Cornish getaway in Porthcurno. The spacious property sleeps up to 12 guests and one waggy-tailed companion, and boasts a sociable, open-plan layout and has a choice of areas for outdoor entertaining. The property is less than 1 mile from Porthcurno’s beautiful, paw-friendly beach and is also perfectly placed for exploring the South West Coast Path. Nearby day trips include the vibrant seaside resort of St Ives (17 miles) and the bustling market town of Penzance (8.5 miles).

The impressive, three-storey holiday retreat is reached via a private driveway. Once inside, you’ll be greeted by a magnificent hallway where you can store all your dog-walking gear. From here, a bespoke staircase (complete with a stair lift) leads to the first floor. The ground floor is also home to a spacious gym with a shower, and a games room with a full-size pool table and a workspace. Heading upstairs, discover a vast living space with striking exposed beams and woodwork, and an array of stylish furniture and accessories. This is the perfect place for spending quality time together, either relaxing in the lounge area with a bottle of wine and a classic film on the Smart TV, or sharing delicious feasts at the banquet-style dining table. In summer months, throw open the patio doors to the veranda for indoor/outdoor living and to allow Rover to potter in and out. The separate kitchen has all the equipment needed to cater for a large group, as well as a breakfast table for informal dining. With hard floors and a door leading directly to the garden, the kitchen is a good spot to set up the dog bed. Rounding off this level is a gorgeous king-size bedroom and the family bathroom. The remaining bedrooms, along with two Jack and Jill-style shower rooms, are located on the second floor. Outside, as well as the veranda, the property has a patio terrace with furniture for al fresco dining, and a pathway leading to a raised garden. This lawned area is a great place for the pup to play, and there’s also an open-sided summerhouse here with additional seating. There is private parking on the driveway for up to five cars.

Enjoy a dog walk around the village of Porthcurno (0.5 miles), admiring its chocolate-box cottages and popping into the local shops or eateries. The village is home to the iconic Minack Theatre and, when there isn’t a performance, you and the woofer can visit to admire the breathtaking views across Porthcurno Bay. Porthcurno Beach welcomes four-pawed beachgoers all year, although in summer months it’s a woof-free zone from 10am to 6pm. However, you’ll find many other gorgeous beaches with no restrictions along this stretch of coastline, including Nanjizal Bay (2 miles) with its fascinating rock formations and crystal-clear waters.

Would so recommend Chough House. Was an excellent place for the Minack Theatre. I was performing there and it allowed me to have lots of friends and family to come and stay to see the play. Great host as well
