This coastal bungalow is only just a bone’s throw (under 1 mile) from Beadnell’s glorious sandy bay, making it a brilliant choice for a dog-friendly holiday in Northumberland. It’s in the heart of the village, 1 mile from the gorgeous Annstead Dunes Nature Reserve and plenty of local places to eat and drink within 400 metres, many of which welcome pups with open arms. With space for six guests, this single-storey retreat is ideal for a group of friends or a family getaway.

Inside, the spacious layout is ideal for guests with dogs in tow, starting with the bright open-plan where light streams in through the skylight and patio doors. There’s sofa space for lounging, a Smart TV, a toasty wood burner for chilly evenings and a dining table for leisurely meals. The kitchen has an island, which is great for perching and chatting with a morning coffee. When it’s time to turn in, you’ll have three stylish bedrooms to choose from, all with Smart TVs. A king-size with en-suite shower room, a cheerful double and a calming twin with pretty panelling. A stylish family bathroom with herringbone tiles finishes off the inside space. Outside, the enclosed west-facing garden creates a sunny space for your dog to sniff about while you discuss the plan for tomorrow. There’s private off-road parking for two cars on the driveway and extra on-street parking if needed.

You’ll be spoilt for choice for pet-friendly things to do nearby. As well as sandy paws and seaside strolls at the local beach (please note, some dog restrictions apply during bird-nesting season), Seahouses (2 miles) is brimming with coastal charm. You can also take boat trips from the harbour. Bamburgh Castle (5.5 miles) and Dunstanburgh Castle (9 miles) will be a hit with culture fans (well-behaved canine historians welcome).

Having stayed in many properties in beadnell over the past years, this property was excellent, it has been newly refurbished to an exceptional high standard. Central location, easy to walk to beach or to the pub. Will definitely use this accommodation again.

Fabulous cottage, which has obviously been recently renovated to a very high standard. Excellent well stocked kitchen with everything we needed. Extremely clean and the beds were very comfortable, with high quality mattresses and bed linen. The cottage location in Beadnell was a great for exploring the area but an extra bonus was being able to waRead morelk to Beadnell beach and the local pub and restaurants in Beadnell. We eat in all 3 Beadnell restaurants, and enjoy our food in all 3 however I would have to say that the Seasalt bistro was particularly good. Would highly recommend this cottage to anyone looking for a base to explore the Northumberland coast. Hide
