Introduce your four-pawed friend to the rugged North Cornwall coastline with a stay at this single-storey cottage, sleeping up to four. You’ll be just 2.5 miles from the edge of Bodmin Moor – perfect for scenic walkies – and within easy reach of some of the region’s best-loved attractions. Boscastle (6 miles) and Tintagel (7.5 miles) are both excellent for local exploration, with Tintagel Castle offering craggy cliff paths and mythic appeal (dogs on leads welcome; they’ll need good balance and a head for heights).
On arrival, step through the pretty porch and into a bright open-plan living area that’s great for relaxing with your wet-nosed chum. It comprises a welcoming lounge, dining table and modern kitchen area that opens to the fresh air on warmer days. For sleeping, you’ll have a contemporary double bedroom and a fun bunk room ideal for children, with both rooms sharing a shower room. Outside, the enclosed garden is a peaceful haven with a patio area and garden seating – your pet can doze in the shade while you unwind to the sound of a nearby river. You’ll have private off-road parking for one car.
There’s plenty to do with your pet nearby – Port Isaac (13 miles), with its narrow lanes and scenic harbour, is wonderful for leisurely exploration before popping into a café for a spot of lunch. Water lovers will enjoy a visit to Tamar Lakes (20 miles), which has dog-friendly trails, nature-watching and plenty of picnic spots. For jaw-dropping coastal views and miles of pretty paths, lace up your walking boots and head straight for the South West Coast Path (6 miles).
