Set your top dog’s tail wagging on a glamping holiday in the peaceful Suffolk countryside. A wealth of walkies with intriguing new smells to examine awaits as they explore the beautiful Waveney Valley with you by their side. Your pet is welcome in this luxurious safari tent, set in a small glamping complex on a working farm in the village of Barsham. Ideally placed for families or friends sharing, the tent sleeps six guests and has masses of floor space for a dog bed-- or blanket. The historic market town of Beccles, just 3 miles away, is the starting point for scenic walking trails.
Covered decking leads to this impressive rural getaway, with an open-plan living space that features comfortable seating, including a sofa bed, together with a dining table seating eight guests and a wood burner, perfect for canine naps. A large cupboard opens to reveal a cosy cabin bed for two and storage. Behind the living area, find a splendid galley-style kitchen, featuring a two-ring hob, fridge, an air fryer and slow cooker. There are two further bedrooms, a double and a twin, plus a bathroom, complete with a shower and WC. Outside are a picnic table, firepit and BBQ, with a large, shared expanse of grass where children can play. There is private parking.
Beccles offers dog-friendly eateries, cafes and pubs, along with the lively Friday market, independent shops and a charming small museum. Head to the town Quay, to follow a series of short or longer walking trails along the peaceful River Waveney. The gentle, 1.5-mile Blue Walk has benches along the path, ideal for a break while your canine checks out a fascinating aroma. Well behaved pups are welcome aboard the Big Dog ferry, on one of the river’s most secluded stretches between Beccles Lido and the community pub at Geldeston. Dogs are welcome all year round on a designated stretch of beach in delightful seaside Southwold (15 miles).
