A lovely house close to Bath centre with lots of character. We had a great weekend at Church Street House. The house is well equipped and comfortable. The kitchen and living /dining area is cosy and where we spent most of our time as it has nice light and a view over the garden and countryside beyond. The bedrooms have good storage and the beds aRead morere comfortable with nice linen and towels. The wet rooms are a clever way to add en suite facilities to 2 of the rooms although you have to know one another well to be comfortable using them! There are 2 other bathrooms, one with a shower cubicle and one with a bath. The bunk room is considerably smaller than the other bedrooms so as others have said is only really suitable for smaller guests. It's very easy to walk into the city centre in about 15 minutes although the hill is quite steep on the walk back. Uber was useful for tired legs! A residents parking permit is available for one car to use on the road outside the house and we found a Just Park space very close by for our other vehicle for minimal cost for the weekend. A minor issue with a shower flooding during our stay couldn't be resolved but we were contacted quickly afterwards and compensated for the inconvenience which seemed very fair. I was impressed with the response and our trip wasn't spoiled. A lovely place to stay, would definitely recommend. Hide

Church Hill House more than lived up to our expectations. Its so cosy and comfortable and in the most perfect location for exploring this wonderful City. Even the local shops and bars of Wedmore were a great addition to our weekend away - The Ram is a hiddengem for brunch. The only observation is its unsuitability for elderly/physically challenged Read moreguests due to the accommodation being set over 4 floors. Hide

My husband and I stayed here with our daughter and two grandsons in their 20s. We all thoroughly enjoyed the week (first in September). With the different age groups, it's a good base for people to go off and follow their own interests, We all did a walk together straight from the house round Claverton Down. Prior Park (NT) is also a short walk froRead morem the house. We oldies (81 and 88) declined to visit the Mary Shelley Museum Escape Room, and went instead to the No.1 Royal Crescent museum. Both venues declared excellent! Regarding the house, the availability of a free residents' parking permit could be made clearer. Some of the publicity gives the impression that there is no parking nearby and it's such a boon! Of course, you need to be reasonably mobile to navigate the different floors in the house. All in all, though, a super house! Hide
