Our second visit to "The Cabin", Chideock - It is really charming, beautifully furnished and decorated and very well equipped. The log burner is the "icing on the cake" for chilly evenings. The cottage is surrounded by a small private garden with several seating areas and there is also a parking space. The beach is within walking distance and therRead moree are several lovely towns nearby. Should any problems occur, the owner is extremely helpful. Hide

Excellent. In good weather, the pebble beach (complete with fossils if you are lucky) together with a manageable section of the SW Coast Path are both a short, virtually traffic free walk down the lane opposite. Bad weather is a bit of a treat as there are plenty of logs for the wood burner and the Cabin really is very comfortable. This was a fantastic cottage and had everything you could wish for. Very comfortable and clean. Plenty of seating inside and out. Dogs made very welcome and safe environment. And even a pretty little summer house to sit and knit in to get away from the family for an hour. The parking space was big enough for our Suzuki 4/4 so plenty of room. AcrosRead mores the road a pretty lane takes you down to the beach which has a pub. Coffee bar and pizza shack. And its only a 10 minute walk. 2 minutes up the road there are 2 pubs and a village shop with a great bus service so no need to take your car. The photos do not do the cabin justice. We had a fantastic holiday and will definitely rebook and recommend. Hide
