Escape to the Cotswolds in this stylish holiday retreat just outside the market town of Chipping Sodbury. Sleeping four guests and two waggy-tailed chums, the chic bolthole makes a great base for couples and small families. You’ll be located on the edge of the Cotswolds National Landscape, giving you easy access to a number of long-distance walking trails, including The Cotswold Way. From the cottage, enjoy day trips to the historic cities of Bristol or Bath, both within 15 miles of the property.
The redbrick barn conversion is decorated in a contemporary style and the accommodation is arranged across one level. At the heart of the property is a bright and spacious lounge/kitchen/diner with a fabulous vaulted ceiling, exposed oak trusses, and flagstone flooring. After a long walk with the pups, stretch out on the sumptuous corner sofa to watch the Smart TV or read a few pages from your book. Along one wall is a sleek kitchen for rustling up hearty feasts for the group, which you can share at the cute dining table. The cottage has two inviting king-size bedrooms, both with tranquil decor and plenty of storage for all your holiday attire. An indulgent bathroom and a refreshing shower room round off the accommodation. Outside, the enclosed courtyard garden was designed with entertaining in mind, with a choice of outdoor seating, a BBQ, and a pizza oven – everything you need for a memorable evening of al fresco dining (please keep four-pawed pals on a lead whilst enjoying the outside area).
Head into Chipping Sodbury (3 miles) to wander amongst its medieval streets and explore its fantastic array of shops and eateries. Alternatively, spend a relaxing afternoon pottering around one of the Cotswolds’ many chocolate-box villages, such as Bisley (21 miles) or Slad (20 miles). Historic Painswick (22.5 miles) is also a must for the holiday itinerary, with its famous 99 yew trees and magnificent, paw-friendly rococo garden.
