This idyllic rural hideaway is in the heart of Eryri National Park (Snowdonia), overlooking the beautiful Ogwen Valley and just 8.5 miles from Betws-y-Coed. The property welcomes five humans and one hound and is the perfect setting for outdoor enthusiasts, with a vast array of walking routes to explore from the front door. After a day of adventure, unwind in the peaceful garden, enjoying the far-reaching views across the valley.
Leave walking boots and dog leads in the entrance porch, before heading through to the main house. Inside, the holiday home is bursting with character, with exposed beams and stonework, and a fabulous flagstone floor. The social hub of the house is a gorgeous lounge with a vaulted ceiling and plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. Spend time here, reading a book or chatting about your day, whilst Rover dozes at your feet. Alternatively, retreat to the cosy mezzanine area, where comfortable seating is set around a Smart TV (please note, this area has a low ceiling). There’s also a separate snug with a roaring wood burner – the perfect spot for the woofer to hang out, away from the hustle and bustle of the main living area. The separate, country-style kitchen is a delight to cook in and has all the equipment needed to prepare delicious feasts for the group, which you can share together around the wooden table in the dining room. A pretty single bedroom and a family bathroom round off the ground floor. Upstairs, two inviting double bedrooms await, both with wonderful views across the valley. A handy shower room completes this level. Outside, the enclosed garden has furniture and a BBQ for al fresco dining on balmy summer nights. You and your furry chum are also welcome to make use of the grassy area surrounding the property. Private parking is available for three cars, and there’ s a covered space for storing bikes. Please note, your canine buddy must be kept on a lead whilst enjoying the outdoor areas.
Journey into the bustling, alpine-style village of Betws-y-Coed, where you’ll find a fantastic selection of paw-friendly shops and eateries to explore. The village is a haven for nature lovers and the area surrounding Betws-y-Coed is adored by dog walkers, with popular routes at Swallow Falls, Gwydir Forest, and Llyn Elsi. From the cottage, it’s easy to take a day trip to Anglesey or spend the day at the coast in Colwyn Bay or Llandudno (all within 30 miles).
