Tucked away in the friendly village of Marhamchurch, just 2 miles from Bude and 3 miles from Widemouth Bay, this Cornish cottage is bursting with rural character, creating the perfect getaway for couples, small families, and their four-pawed adventurers. From sun-soaked beach days to clifftop strolls with your loyal hound, this location is a real treat for both humans and canines alike.

With its low beams, exposed stonework and cosy corners, this cottage exudes country charm. Step down into the heart of the home – a classic kitchen with all the modern conveniences needed for holiday feasts. Gather round the dining table for meals, then unwind in the welcoming lounge, complete with plush seating and a Smart TV. There’s also a charming window seat. Upstairs, you'll find a beautiful family bathroom and two restful bedrooms – a spacious double and a twin – both tucked under the eaves and finished in soothing colours. Head out into the magical, enclosed garden for a relaxing while your four-legged explorer has a good sniff around. Children will love the play set and sandpit, while grown-ups can fire up the BBQ and enjoy al fresco dinners with views across open fields and, on a clear day, the sea shimmering in the distance.

Spend your days building sandcastles or exploring the rock pools at nearby beaches, such as Bude's Summerleaze, where your canine friend can join you year-round (on the lead during summer months). With miles of coastal paths on your doorstep, there are endless adventures to be had. When you’re ready to refuel, the friendly village pub is just metres from the cottage. Lovely cottage in a great location. Well equipped, clean and comfortable. Very welcoming and comfortable to return to after a days walking. The village was very friendly and the community village shop of high standard, well stocked with local produce at reasonable prices. A great week, thank you!

Really lovely cottage, super sun trap little garden, very well equipped, ideal location for quiet relaxation, easy access to Bude. Only downside for me was shared garden with easy escape routes for my dogs, otherwise absolutely first class

Such a great cottage. It is very well equipped and really well kept. We were so grateful we could bring our dogs with us . The location was perfect being to walk along the canal to Bude one morning and the other way to Widemouth the next morning. We enjoyed a warm hour sat in the lovely garden enjoying the cream tea that was provided at the coRead morettage on our arrival , a very nice touch as was the Prosecco enjoyed whilst watching a movie on the tv in the cosy lounge. A chocolate box cottage, cosy rooms downstairs, well equipped with everything you might need during your stay. A lovely modern bathroom and spacious bedrooms. Garden space is shared with the next door cottage but it didnt affect our experience. We found a lovely spot at the bottom of the garden, to watch the sunset, great views.

Lovely little cottage with everything you need in a quiet village with easy access by car to places. However, if you are looking for privacy & relaxation then I would not recommend this cottage. Owner lives directly next door & runs an art studio which is open every day to the public. Access is via the same gate & pathway, past your front door. WhRead moreen neighbours are sat in the garden they can see directly into the main bedroom. BBQ area at the bottom of the garden is also over looked by neighbours. Personally for us, we did not feel relaxed or comfortable but I guess its down to personal preference depending on what you are looking for when you go away. Had we known the above information we would not have booked. Response from holidaycottages.co.uk - Thank you for your feedback, we have discussed all the points you have raised with the owner. We thank you for your custom and we are pleased to hear you had a great holiday in this lovely cottage. Hide

We enjoyed a great week here. The cottage is lovely, newly refurbished and exactly as shown in the photos online. The garden is amazing and the views from there are outstanding. The village in general, is also nice and quiet and a good base for exploring Bude and surrounding beaches
