Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Kenfig Dunes and the shimmering waters of the Bristol Channel, this warm and welcoming Welsh cottage is a dream escape for families, friends and their four-legged companions. With a crackling wood burner, enclosed garden, and sandy coastlines within easy reach, there’s plenty here to keep both humans and canine explorers happy.
Step inside and make yourselves at home in the inviting lounge, where comfortable sofas and the roaring wood burner create the perfect place to curl up after a day of exploring. While your faithful friend stretches out by the fire, gather together for a movie night on the Smart TV. The well-equipped kitchen is ideal for rustling up everything from breakfast to hearty post-walk dinners. There's a handy breakfast bar for morning coffee and a separate dining/snug area for meals. Upstairs, you'll find two restful double bedrooms and a snug single, plus a bright family shower room. Enjoy sunny mornings and relaxed evenings in the private back garden, where a furnished patio offers a peaceful place for an al fresco meal. The enclosed lawn means your pup can sniff, stretch and sunbathe safely while you soak up views over the neighbouring church. Parking is available on-street, subject to availability.
Just 150 metres from the front door, a public footpath leads through Kenfig National Nature Reserve, all the way to the beach, a 3-mile walk. For a day by the sea, head to Porthcawl (4 miles) and stroll the promenade, or take to the waves at Rest Bay (4 miles), a hotspot for surfing and windsurfing. Margam Park (3.5 miles) has acres of open space to explore. Afan Forest Park, Bryngarw Country Park, Swansea Bay, Mumbles, and the Gower Peninsula – all within 20 miles – open up more paw-friendly walking, beaches, and picnic spots.
