Brighton’s quieter sister village, Saltdean, offers the perfect coastal getaway for people and pets seeking seaside serenity without being in the heart of a lively resort town. This fabulous artist’s house provides a canine-compatible retreat in the peaceful, picturesque village – an ideal destination for slow strolls along the cliffs and endless games of fetch on the shingle beach. Exceptionally styled and thoughtfully designed, the property hosts up to seven guests and two furry friends, with uninterrupted sea views and impeccable interiors that are sure to set tails wagging from the moment you arrive.
Bright pops of colour contrast beautifully against crisp white walls, while picture windows frame the coastal vistas, creating a distinctive and inviting space to unwind. Start your day in the spacious kitchen/diner, feeding Fido and Rover their breakfast before switching on the coffee machine for yourself. Settle into the armchair by the large lounge window, admiring the sea view with your pups nestled contentedly at your feet. A ground-floor shower room is handily located on your way upstairs, where you’ll find a further family bathroom and four appealing bedrooms. Outside, a decked area offers space for pets to roam and a lovely spot to sip a drink while enjoying the fresh sea air. Private parking is also available for added convenience.
Saltdean Beach is just a tennis ball’s throw from the front door (100 metres). In summer, you'll need to wander past the iconic Saltdean Lido (0.5 miles) to reach the western stretch of beach, which is dog friendly year-round. Sussex’s famous white cliffs frame the beach, and a cliff-top walk leads you all the way to vibrant Brighton (4.5 miles). Once there, keep your pups on leads as you explore the charming Lanes and the scenic Royal Pavilion, stopping off at a pet-welcoming pub for refreshments between shops.
