Escape to the peace and beauty of Perth and Kinross with your faithful companion by your side when you stay at this charming cottage for four that sits privately within the grounds of the owner’s home. Nestled in pretty gardens with far-reaching rural views and a bubbling hot tub to unwind in, this welcoming bolthole is ideal for couples, small families, and their canine chums.

The entrance hallway offers the perfect spot to towel off after walkies, with storage space. The airy lounge is a restful place to curl up in front of the fire with your hound at your feet. The sunroom is another peaceful haven for lazy afternoons with a view – open the door to let the breeze in. The bright, well-equipped kitchen/diner has everything you’ll need to rustle up suppers. A handy utility room and a separate cloakroom are also on the ground floor. Upstairs, you’ll find two comfortable bedrooms: a double with in-room shower cubicle, and a pretty twin, both with scenic Perthshire views. A stylish family bathroom completes the upstairs layout. Let your pup pal stretch their legs in the enclosed garden and fire up the BBQ. Soak in the hot tub under the stars. Off-road parking for two cars is provided.

The village of Methven, 2 miles away, is home to local shops and a pet-friendly pub or two, while Perth's lively city centre is 8 miles down the road. Take a day trip to Scone Palace (13 miles), where the 300-acre grounds await for a lead-walk beneath ancient trees. Head to Buchanty Spout (6.5 miles) to see salmon leaping upstream or enjoy a wander (and perhaps a dram) around the Glenturret Distillery in Crieff, 10 miles from home.

Great location for exploring the surrounding area, with easy access to head out in different directions and see as much of the local area as possible. A soak in the hot tub at the end of the day was a lovely way to relax and unwind. The garden was completely secure for my dogs, which was a huge plus, and it was thoughtful to find a water bowl prRead moreovided in the utility room. The directions to the property were also spot on and made it very easy to find. Hide

All we can say is WOW! Such a beautiful location, and such a peaceful and tranquil cottage and atmosphere. Walks and views around the local area a plenty. Fiona the owner was always so helpful, even replying to our tv log on issues immediately on Christmas Day immediately. Such a beautiful hamper on arrival and welcomed to a cosy and warm cottage. Really enjoyed staying here. The owners were quietly unobtrusive and we felt relaxed. The cottage was warm and spacious. The shower is a bit quirky but worked fine. Loved the quiet location. The hot tub was great.
