Comfortable and quiet, this converted granary buiding has superb views and makes a pretty, peaceful escape for families or couples. With walks from the front door, it’s also within easy reach of Caernarfon and its shops, places to eat and majestic castle.
Traditional Welsh furniture, exposed stone walls and characterful beams set the scene for a tranquil getaway in this lovely property. The welcoming lounge/diner has sloped ceilings and windows on three sides and is a lovely place in which to snuggle up for the evening in front of the wood burner-effect electric fire, perhaps with a book or a movie on the TV. There’s a cheery kitchen with colourful tiles and plenty of cupboard and worktop space, and a spacious bathroom with a bath and separate shower. The beautiful double bedroom is also on the ground floor, while the bunk bedroom, perfect for children, is on the first floor. For fresh air, al fresco meals and games of fetch, the enclosed, raised garden is ideal. As well as lots of lawn, a small BBQ and dining furniture, it has gorgeous vistas towards the sea and mountains.
From your door, you can access 52 acres of the owner’s land and enjoy scenic walks every day. Spend time in Caernarfon, 2 miles away, a royal town and UNESCO World Heritage Site, exploring the shops and arts complex, cafes, marina and majestic castle, or jump on the Welsh Highland Railway for a trip to the pretty village of Beddgelert. Here you can walk along the riverside, visit the workings of an old copper mine (dogs are welcome!) and buy a treat from the oldest ice cream parlour in Eryri - Snowdonia. Or, pack a picnic and head for Parc Glynllifon, 3 miles, where there are woodland walks, follies, sculptures, craft shops and a cafe.
