Take your pup to dip his paws in the salty sea when you stay at this chic, contemporary retreat in Southbourne. Sleeping eight guests, the impressive, four-bedroom holiday home comes with an enclosed courtyard garden and is just 150 metres from the beach, with sections that are dog friendly all year round. This three-storey hideaway, 3.5 miles from Bournemouth, is also just 5 miles from the fabulous dog walks of the New Forest.

Brush sandy paws before stepping into the airy entrance at this cutting-edge cottage. Enter to discover light-filled, reverse-level accommodation with an abundance of glass and ample space for pups and people. At ground-floor level there are three bedrooms, each with great glass sliding doors, and a stylish family bathroom. One of the bedrooms is a double; the others are super-king-size, with zip-and-link beds that can also be arranged as singles by prior agreement. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, with underfloor heating, is on the floor above. Feed your hungry hound in the kitchen and whip up feasts for everyone else to enjoy at the table or breakfast bar. Settle on the comfortable seating to watch the Smart TV while your paw-some pal pads about. Pull the doors back onto the balcony on fine days. A super-king-size bedroom, with an en-suite shower room and private balcony, is on the floor above. Wander out into the courtyard garden to bask in the sunshine with your best furry friend by your side. There is parking for two cars.

Grab the dog lead and walk 2 miles out to Hengistbury Head with your faithful friend at your heel. Pups are always welcome here on the southern side beach. Venture 14.5 miles to Brockenhurst in the New Forest where you can hire bikes with a dog trailer so your pet is not left behind.

Had an absolutely fabulous week at The Beach House with my family. A lovely welcome pack when we arrived. The house is stunning, very spacious, spotlessly clean, and so relaxing. The beach is so peaceful and charming to stroll along. You have shops, pubs etc close by, and it's easy to get to surrounding areas. Great property and location. Lovely little bar on the beach 5 min walk away (Sobo), and if you walk to Bournemouth (just over an hour walk), there is El Murrino Bar on the way.

This house is luxurious, it is light and spacious, but somehow cosy at the same time. The beds were very comfortable and the water pressure in the showers is powerful. 5* luxurious accommodation in a perfect location next to the beach, ideal for every style of holiday... relaxing, celebrating, exploring... We had an excellent week with our grown up family and our dog; exploring the area on long walks every day, stopping at cafes for delicious pastries and cakes baked locally, and returning to the superb desigRead morener house to sit on the balcony with a glass of wine from the bottle chiller. There is a great selection of restaurants and take-aways to choose from in the area and a convenience store close by buy food to cook in. And, the key requirement when we look for holiday accommodation is a comfortable bed and The Edge Beach House has huge super king sized beds with incredibly comfortable mattresses and lovely linen - and no foot boards which often home owners don't realise can be a problem for tall guests. We had a fantastic 4 day family break at this property. The house was beautiful, well appointed, modern and very clean. It was really homely and very comfortable and very well equipped with fans in the bedrooms; a travel cot and high chair for the baby in our party, and there was even a small picnic set for outdoor meals. The courtyard garden to Read morethe rear of the property was well maintained and had sun loungers provided - small but beautifully formed. There was 9 in our party and plenty of room for all of us. The location was perfect, only a few metres from the beach and a short drive into Bournemouth itself The off-street parking for 2 cars was also an added bonus The owners of the property were very friendly and helpful, leaving us a welcome box of supplies and milk in the fridge for when we arrived which was very thoughtful. Beautiful Southbourne Property - peacefull very close to the beach and cool vibes of the sobo beach bar Thank you so much for letting us stay in your stunning, modern, and peaceful property. The location is great - just a short walk to the beach and SoBo Beach Barand the house itself is beautifully set to maximise the view in a quite close makiRead moreng the stay very peaceful and relaxing (even with two children). Although the main town is a 5min drive 25-30mins walk there is a small high st close with a couple of restaurants, a coop and a few shops. We actually had most meals in the property or on the beach as we were lucky with the weather and had such lovely views from the balcony. The house is well designed and worked well for our multi-generational holiday . We travelled as a family with 2 children and with 2 sets of grandparents and found the 3 bedrooms on the ground floor and the enormous bedroom on the top floor worked well. All of the beds were incredibly comfy. Although worth noting the double bedroom downstairs would be quite warm in the morning if sunny but fans are provided in all rooms and there is a door you can open. Ive always been a fan of Dorset and visit every year usually staying in Mudeford or Westbourne, but I like the vibe in southbourne reminds me of Bondi and with all the investment going into Southbourne, I think Ive been converted - We would love to come back! This was a fabulous place to stay with my grown up kids while visiting them from the US. The house is lovely and the location (100ft from the beach) is perfect. Richard and Gina are great hosts and were happy to help with queries while we were there. They truly thought of everything... even our dog was provided for with a bed, bowl, blankets, poRead moreop bags and treats! The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable and the showers to die for! There is no washing machine but there is a drying rack and there is a laundry a 5 min drive away. Richard and Gina left a welcome pack and when we extended our stay they brought another! I will definitely book again when I next visit the UK 10/10 Hide
