Once home to Deal’s station masters, this quirky four-bedroom townhouse is now a welcoming holiday escape for families, friends and their faithful furry travellers, complete with a fully enclosed garden. 15 metres from the railway station and within 500 metres of the seafront, beach, shops and dog-friendly cafes, it's the perfect setting for a coastal break with your hound in tow.

Step inside and start your holiday journey in what used to be the station’s ticket office – now a bright hallway with a desk in case you need to catch up on emails between walkies. The cosy lounge boasts soft seating, and a Smart TV for evenings curled up with a snoozing pup at your feet. A handy cloakroom adds to the convenience. The lower-level kitchen/diner is ideal for group meals, and there’s also a utility area with a tumble dryer and fridge/freezer. On the first floor, you'll find a king-size bedroom, a twin room and a bunk room, plus a stylish family bathroom with a roll-top bath and walk-in shower. Tucked away in the eaves, the top-floor king-size bedroom is a peaceful retreat with a sofa and sloped ceilings. Out in the walled garden, fire up the charcoal BBQ and dine alfresco while your four-pawed pal snuffles in the flowerbeds or basks in a patch of sun. You’ll find parking 15 metres away in the station car park (local charges apply).

You and your dog will be well placed for beach strolls, castle adventures and countryside rambles. History buffs can sniff out the mighty Dover Castle (8 miles), while urban explorers can hop on the train to Canterbury (17.5 miles) for cathedral visits and boutique shopping – plenty of places here welcome well-behaved hounds. If you're keen to stretch the legs, Betteshanger Park (3 miles) offers trails, cycling, and nature walks.

Lovely house for our school-friend reunion. We loved the quirky decor and the kitchen was so well equipped! Considering the location is between the station carpark and two roads it was incredibly peaceful and private. Perfect location for those travelling by train and then easy walking distance to all the facilities and attractions you need for a wRead moreeekend away (pubs, shops, pier, cafes, museums, castles, art, seafront) Thanks to the owner for allowing us to store our bags on the last morning so we could have brunch on the pier. The house was excellent for us. The location was great and the accommodation was perfect. We especially appreciated the provision of all the child friendly items from books to games to toilet seats. The house was also very well equipped and presented with all the household items we needed. And the bottle of quality white wine, fresh coffee, cRead morerisps and local apple juice were unexpected and much appreciated. It should be noted that the house would not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues or with children who are not yet good on stairs. Thank you Iain for being a very attentive and helpful host Hide

We absolutely loved our stay at the Station House. Ian could not have been more responsive when we had a minor issue to sort out. The property is so central and we loved being able to walk to the local shops and restaurants. We loved having the old ticket office as the entrance hall to place all our coats and shoes and bags. We were two familRead moreies and there was plenty of room and enough cups and plates, hurray! The kitchen is so well equipped for cooking too Its exceedingly dog friendly and thats so helpful. Also a major plus for me , loads of toilet rolls! Its very frustrating when you pay a lot for a cottage and you have a solo roll and 8 bottoms ! Cant recommend this lovely place enough! Hide
