Perfect for couples or small families travelling with their furry companion, this colourful cottage in East Morton is a peaceful base to explore West Yorkshire’s rolling hills, historic sights, and scenic trails. Sleeping three, with a dog-friendly enclosed garden, it’s tucked away in a lovely village setting midway between the vibrant market towns of Keighley (4 miles) and Bingley (3 miles), both boasting cosy pubs, independent shops, and pup-positive cafes.

Step inside to a warm, light-filled living/dining area with wooden floors and a wood burner-effect gas fire to warm the paws after long countryside rambles. A Smart TV and comfortable seating make this a relaxing spot to unwind, while the dining table offers space for shared meals and planning the next day’s walkies. At the rear, the galley kitchen is smartly laid out and well-equipped with everything you need to make meal times a breeze. Upstairs, you'll find a sleek shower room and two cheerful bedrooms: a snug single and a gorgeous king-size beneath exposed beams and a vaulted ceiling. Outside, a private courtyard is a lovely suntrap for morning coffees and afternoon treats, with outdoor furniture for al fresco dining while your four-pawed pal sniffs around the borders. Parking is available on the street.

3 miles north, the famous Ilkley Moor promises tail-waggingly good walks, whether you’re up for a bracing trek or a gentle meander with your canine chum. There’s plenty to sniff out nearby too, including the Twelve Apostles Stone Circle. History hounds on the lead will enjoy exploring East Riddlesden Hall and Cliffe Castle Museum, both within 4 miles. Literary lovers will adore Haworth (8 miles), the heart of Bronte Country, with its cobbled streets and quaint eateries – many of which welcome four-legged friends through their doors.
