Located in a secluded corner of the Norfolk countryside, this bright and welcoming retreat is the ideal getaway for families, friends and their canine companions. Sleeping four and set within a small cluster of cottages with access to a shared swimming pool, it’s perfectly positioned for adventures by paw, pedal, or paddle amongst the Norfolk Broads.
Inside, the heart of the home is the traditional farmhouse-style kitchen – well equipped with plenty of room for storing treats (for both humans and hounds). The kitchen leads into the colourful lounge/diner, where cosy seating, a wood burner and a Smart TV invite you to unwind while Rovers basks in the warmth of the fire. There's a large dining table for hearty breakfasts or sociable dinners after a trip to the coast. Upstairs, you’ll find two lovely bedrooms beneath wooden beams – a king-size and a twin – alongside a light and airy bathroom. Patio doors open onto a fully enclosed walled garden, giving your four-pawed pal the freedom to roam safely while you relax with a drink on the terrace or dip in the wood-fired hot tub. There’s outdoor seating for al fresco meals, sun-soaked afternoons, and lazy mornings listening to birdsong. The property also includes access to a shared swimming pool (bookable for private sessions) for an extra holiday treat. Parking for one car is provided.
Sniff out the charm of nearby villages such as Smallburgh (1.5 miles) and Tunstead (2 miles) or let your tail-wagger lead the way on riverside trails and Broadland meanders. The famous Broads National Park surrounds you, offering a wealth of wildlife, scenic walks and boating opportunities. Fancy a day beside the sea? Happisburgh, Sea Palling, and Mundesley beaches have sections where your pup can run free and are all within 12 miles of home.
