Escape to the countryside with your favourite humans and hounds in this stunning Yorkshire Dales retreat. The property, which welcomes up to ten guests and three waggy-tailed pals, makes the ideal getaway for families and groups of friends who love getting out and about in nature. The holiday home near Hawes offers direct access to the long-distance Pennine Way and is also a great base for those taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks (all within 30 miles of the property).

The spacious rural hideaway is bursting with character, with exposed beams, stone walls, and traditional country decor. At the heart of the home is an impressive lounge/diner with a double-height ceiling and ample space for you and your furry companions to spread out and relax. After a long walk, stretch out on one of the sofas to read your book or catch up on your favourite programmes on the Smart TV, whilst warming your toes and paws in the glow of the cosy wood burner. Nestled under the mezzanine floor you'll find a large dining table for enjoying memorable mealtimes together. Just off the lounge is a gorgeous sunroom with panoramic views across the valley. Also on the ground floor you'll find a games room with an alternative dining area. This quiet room is a good spot to set up the dog beds, away from the hustle and bustle of the main living space. Completing the ground floor is an inviting double bedroom, a handy utility room, and a kitchen with all the equipment needed for a successful self-catering getaway. From the living area, a wooden staircase leads to a charming mezzanine seating area, along with a tastefully decorated twin bedroom. The main staircase in the hallway takes you to the three remaining bedrooms - two doubles and a king-size. Two of these bedrooms have en-suite facilities, and there's also a family bathroom on this level. Immediately outside the property is an enclosed patio where the woofers can safely potter around and beyond this is a vast lawn that's perfect for outdoor games and picnics in the sunshine. Guests are also welcome to explore the wider grounds, where you'll find a large lake and stunning views across the Dales. Private parking is available for two cars.

The bustling market town of Hawes is 4 miles away. Enjoy a dog walk amongst the picturesque stone houses, popping into the many paw-friendly boutiques and galleries, before dining in one of the friendly pubs. Wensleydale is often referred to as 'the valley of the waterfalls' and you and the pups can visit iconic beauty spots such as Aysgarth Falls, Hardraw Force, and Cotter Force, all within 15 miles. For history enthusiasts, a stroll around the captivating ruins of Jervaulx Abbey (26 miles) is a must for the holiday itinerary.

What a beautiful location, so peaceful and quiet, the views are amazing. The house was just perfect for a group of eight adults to enjoy games around the main table, share food, go for walks and read in the conservatory. The red squirrel sanctuary is within a stone's throw of the cottage and early risers enjoyed watching them feed and posing for Read morethe camera. Whilst wifi and signal was hit and miss at times this was actually welcomed by all, no interruptions and no cheating on games! We visited the Hawes' Cheese factory, the local museum and were lucky in that a craft fair was also on in the local town. A lovely break which ended too soon. Loved the decor and feel of the house, highly recommended. Thank you. Hide
