This lovely cottage set over three levels in the seaport town of Cowes offers a perfect blend of history and charm. Built in 1887 to house Queen Victoria's footmen, and now renovated with coastal themes and airy living spaces, it’s the perfect retreat for families or groups with one pup planning an Isle of Wight adventure. Let the hound lead the way as you stroll into Cowes’ vibrant centre with its galleries and waterfront restaurants, before returning for a cosy evening in front of the electric fire and Smart TV.

Enter this gorgeous property through the front door and immediately relax in the warm welcome of the snug living space with a beautiful brick hearth, plush seating, and a Smart TV. Step down into the dining area from the lounge, a lovely space for memorable meals cooked in the well-equipped kitchen that features a sociable breakfast bar. Completing this floor is a convenient downstairs bathroom. Head to the first floor and you’ll find two comfortable queen-size bedrooms that can be converted into twins on request and benefit from a family shower room. The final bedroom awaits on the top floor; a family room boasting a cosy double bed and a single day bed for younger guests. Outside is the charming garden, a sunny oasis which is enclosed for your dog and little ones to play safely while you man the BBQ ahead of an al fresco meal.

To explore the history of the island, head 6.5 miles inland to Carisbrooke Castle and enjoy the views from the castle walls over the surrounding countryside. Alternatively, Fort Victoria Country Park (14 miles) is a hidden gem that will set tails wagging with a splendid coastline, woodland, and a fortress to discover. Seagrove Bay (15.5 miles) is a must-see beach, which lets your dog run freely all year round.

A great little cottage right in the heart of Cowes. Good sized garden too. The owner has provided everything you could think of. It was very clean and the bed was really comfy. Just be aware that stairs are steep.

Good location for cowes, parking is either in the car park down the road, or if you go up and across the main road by the church there is free road parking.
