  • Conveniently located in Eskdale Green with access to some of the highest peaks in the Lake District
Property code: OC-SZ404

Head to this handsome holiday home at Eskdale Green and watch tails wag with delight. The enticing, three-bedroom cottage is set within a generous garden and enjoys access to magnificent dog-walking country. Nestled within the western Lake District, and sleeping five guests and two canine companions, it is a paws-down winner for anyone who enjoys long walks in scenic surroundings. From here, spend time at lakes such as Wast Water, 5 miles away, or head to the coast so your furry friends can race across the sand.

Open the door to the semi-detached cottage and let Rover and Rex pad inside. Head through to the kitchen to put the kettle on, top up the water bowls and plan supper – you’ll also find a handy washing machine here. Feed the pups, then pull up a chair in the dining room to watch TV, or settle into the lounge with a DVD while your four-legged friends stretch out in the warmth of the open fire. Upstairs, the family bathroom sits alongside a choice of super-king-size, double and single bedrooms, all enjoying glorious views. Step outside into the sunshine with Rover and Rex, perhaps to enjoy breakfast in the garden, and make use of the parking available for two cars.

Step straight out from the house to stroll through the Miterdale and Eskdale valleys. Strike out approximately 1.5 miles to reach Muncaster Fell. Drive 6 miles to Ravenglass, where your furry friends can run free on the beach. Stop at Muncaster Castle, 5.5 miles from the cottage, on the way back to see the castle, where pups are also very welcome.

What a wonderful cottage! It was clean and tidy, wonderful secure garden for our Boxers (a small dog could escape if determined) everything we could need for a lovely 2 weeks in the Lakes. A beautiful walk to Mitredale Forest straight from the front door, and a short drive to Wastwater Lake, Seascale Beach and a little further to beautiful St Bees Read moreBeach, plenty of other walks straight from the cottage, and a wonderful pub with great food (The Bower House) a 10 minute walk. A lovely characterful cottage with plenty of space and all kitchen equipment you could possibly need. It's in a picturesque rural location, maybe 10-15 minutes from a main road so if you dislike country lanes maybe consider carefully! Lovely old pub within a mile walk.

Lovely cottage, dont leave gate open or sheep will take up residence. No functional Wi-Fi during our weeks stay. Clean and comfortable, many walks from the house. Appreciated the complementary coffee pods.

We had a lovely family holiday in this cottage. The location in Eskdale is stunning, and was relatively quiet despite being school holidays. The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. Plenty of books and a few games in the cottage to keep us occupied on rainy days.
