This cottage is perfectly located to enjoy the stunning sandy beaches and big skies of the Norfolk coastline. Housing six guests, your hound is just as welcome so make sure they aren’t left behind! Whether as a romantic coastal retreat for two, or a luxury bolthole for family or friends, get ready to fall in love with this warm, welcoming, contemporary cottage.

Kick off your shoes, hang your coats and dry muddy paws in the entrance hall before trotting through to the bright and spacious family kitchen for perhaps a treat or two. Blending contemporary and traditional styling, sophisticated interiors add a touch of modernity. In the warm weather, open the double doors to the garden so your canine chum can potter in and out as you cook a delicious meal. Retire to the lounge to relax on the sofas of an evening, lighting the wood burner so your happy hound can sprawl in the warmth. Added delights are the roll-top bath in the family bathroom, perfect for a long soak after a day’s exploring, while the underfloor heating keeps toes and paws toasty during the cooler months. The fully-enclosed garden is perfect for a roll in the grass, so your furry friend can sniff about as you sip a coffee to welcome in the morning.

In a central location in the village of Snettisham, there are shops and pubs within walking distance. Explore the parkland for hours of walks at Sandringham Estate (5 miles) and discover the diverse landscape at Holme Dunes (9 miles) - just keep your doggy on lead. Wander the trails at Ringstead Downs (4.5 miles), while off-lead walks at Barrow Common (11 miles) have fantastic views of the marshes and sea. The vast sands at Old Hunstanton (5.5 miles) will delight your tufty-pawed chum, and further afield at Holkham Beach too (17 miles).

Walnut cottage is a gorgeous place to stay, very clean, all equipment provided and extra touches like the welcome pack and dog treats. The garden is perfect for dogs, enclosed and secure. The builders merchants opposite was no issue at all. I would definitely recommend staying here with so many things to see and visit in the local area.

This was our second visit to Walnut Cottage and just as enjoyable as the first. The cottage is spacious yet cosy, comfortable, warm, tastefully decorated and well-equipped. There are some lovely little touches e.g. a welcome pack and dog treats. It really felt like a home from home. The garden is fully enclosed so my dog was safe. Fabulous stay over the Christmas holiday. The owner thought of everything to ensure it was a home from home experience including a tree and decorations. The cottage was well equipped with everything you needed. We really enjoyed the festive welcome gift and thought it was a lovely touch. The cottage suited us as 2 sets of friends ie with one en-suite bedroom and 2 other alternative bedrooms/ bathrooms. The downstairs kitchen and lounge were modern and well equipped. The cottage is centrally situated in a pretty village and we made good use of the local pub restaurant for most evening meals. Overall hard to fault.! We would highly recommend this property. I would say probably the nicest cottage we have stayed in for a while. The owners have thought of everything you need, the beds are so comfortable, the house is very clean and homely, ample parking for 2 cars, walking distance to 2 pubs, a fantastic coffee shop and micro bakery around the corner, Co-op also Read morea short walk away. Location is perfect to visit all north Norfolk only 10 min drive to Sandringham. No complaints would definitely return. 5 stars! Hide

Great location, in a lovely village, although it's noisy in the morning from the builders merchant next door. Cottage really tastefully decorated, but a bit dusty in places.

We had a lovely week in October 2024 half term at Walnut Cottage. The property is very comfortable, well appointed and in a great location. Definitely recommend an evening meal or two at the Rose and Crown in the village.

Really lovely stay at Walnut Cottage. The cottage had everything we needed and was ideally located for exploring the local area. A stylish property with comfortable beds in a lovely, village ( the builders merchant opposite does start early. If you'e a light sleeper!)
