Whisk your loved one and your canine companion away to this delightful, single-storey lodge in Northumberland. Sleeping just two human guests, the one-bedroom, pup-friendly retreat is less than 1 mile from the wide, sandy beach at Beadnell Bay.

Step inside to find a bright, breezy living space with more than a hint of its seaside setting in the decor. The hub of the house is its stylish, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, where you can cuddle up on the soft sofa with a cup of fresh coffee from the machine and a slice of stottie cake while your contented canine seeks out his own quiet corner. Pull the doors open to your enclosed garden in the warmer months to enjoy indoor/outdoor living or settle in front of the Smart TV. The chic kitchen is the pawfect place to feed your pal and to whip up a romantic meal for two. Dine at the breakfast bar as your chum dozes. When you are ready to turn in for the night, bid him goodnight and head through to the luxurious shower room. Your double bedroom is divided from the living space by a sliding door. Pull back the bi-folding doors to the garden in here on fine mornings and enjoy breakfast in the courtyard garden as your chum waits patiently for his first walk of the day. There is a handy, external laundry room, plus a doggy shower for rinsing off after trips to the beach. The cottage has parking for one car.

Amble down to the horseshoe-shaped beach where canine visitors are always welcome. During March, April, July and August, the bird-breeding seasons, they may have to be on the lead. Pick up the Northumberland Coast Path and walk along it with your waggy-tailed friend, looking out for seals as you go.

The cottage is lovely and has been done to a great standard. Very comfortable and well equipped. Quiet neighbourhood. It was perfect for us and our two wee dogs. Nice privacy in the garden too as it is well fenced in with a few seating areas. Absolutely loved it and trying to book again for next year.

A beautifully renovated bungalow, tastefully styled as a seaside cottage. Very good use of limited space and obviously thoughtful owners who provided a welcome pack of coffee, tea and wine. It is a little small, but big enough for two people.

we would love to go back to Shell Cottage again. The cottage was well equipped to a high standard and very comfortable. It is a walking distance to a beautiful beach which we walked every day with our dog. We would recommend The Craster Arms which is walking distance in the village, the food and the staff are excellent.

Wow, what can I say. Shell cottage is absolutely amazing, as soon as we stepped through the gate we could see what a beautiful place we had booked. Absolutely everything has been thought of, the kitchen is absolutely stunning with top of the range equipment, there are doors that open out onto the enclosed patio area outside, although we didn't takeRead more our dog on this occasion it had everything you needed for your fur baby, from towels, treats, poo bags and even a wash off area, not forgetting the large enclosed outside area to keep your dog safe from escaping. The bathroom is lovely with a powerful shower and double sinks, all nipping clean. A spacious bedroom with the most comfortable bed and plump pillows. The cottage is a 5 minute walk from the village shop and bus stop(we took the bus to Seahouses which takes approx 7 minutes, Beadnell Bay is about a 15 minute walk also, we took the route along seafront but you can take a short cut through the village which takes you past the pubs and cafes. It's just a beautiful place and the cottage is a luxurious base, would not hesitate to stay again. Hide
