Stroll along the shore of the beautiful beach at Walberswick and enjoy watching Rex run in and out of the waves. This delightful, five-bedroom retreat within the Suffolk village sleeps nine guests and has a superb, enclosed garden that will also set his tail wagging.
Make your way inside to find airy accommodation to suit everyone in your party, including those with four legs. Unwind in the lounge, where you can pull back the bi-fold doors on sunny days so Rex can saunter outside, while you choose a book or a game or watch the Smart TV. In the colder months, fire up the wood burner so he can warm his paws. Head through to the snug instead, where you can enjoy some peace together in front of another TV. Take him through to the kitchen/diner to dish up his dinner and prepare the fresh Suffolk seafood you have bought for everyone else. Sit down to eat at the table here or in the formal dining room. A utility room and a family shower room are also on the ground floor. Give Rex’s ears a last rub before bed, then head upstairs. There are four super-king-size here, one with an en-suite bathroom and the other three with zip-and-link beds that can be set up as twins or super-king-sizes (on request at time of booking). There is also a cosy single and a family bathroom. Play outdoor games on the lawn while Rex races around you. Cook on the BBQ under the great Suffolk sky. There is private parking for four cars.
Explore the bustling seaside town of Southwold, which is 8 miles by road or just 1.5 miles on foot if you take the dog-friendly, rowing boat ferry across the River Blyth in the high season. Follow the Suffolk Coast Path for 7 miles from Walberswick to Dunwich.
