Return from coastal and country dog walks to the comfort of this handsome stone barn. One of four holiday properties in the rural setting, 1.5 miles from Kilkhampton and 5 miles from Bude, it sleeps five guests and welcomes four-legged guests with open paws. The three-bedroom barn has a private, raised terrace with fantastic countryside views, and is a superb location for inland footpaths and dog-friendly beaches.
Follow your waggy-tailed chum into the barn and find yourselves in accommodation with a reverse-level design and rustic feel. Make yourselves at home in the beamed lounge/diner, which has a snug above it on the mezzanine level. Lay a fire in the wood burner then sink back into the plump leather sofa while your pal finds himself a place to enjoy the heat from the floor. Watch TV, choose a DVD or set the table ready for the next holiday feast. The raised kitchen area encompasses everything you will need to help you prepare your meals and there is space to feed your furry friend too. Give your canine companion a last cuddle before bed then wander down to your bedrooms and family bathroom on the lower level. There is a king-size bedroom, with en-suite shower room, a twin and a single. Dine outside on the terrace on warm days. Return from evening dog walks to sit here with a glass of wine and your handsome hound by your side. Guests have parking for three cars.
Take the footpath down through the trees to the coast at Duckpool Beach, 2.5 miles away. Here your pal can paddle and nose about among the rocks. Pick up the South West Coast Path and follow it together for a spell. The National Trust’s Sandymouth Bay, 3 miles away, is also a great place to take dogs.
