Take time out of your busy lives to stay at this pretty Somerset cottage and bring your favourite four-legged friend with you. Sleeping five guests, the three-bedroom hideaway has a delightful, courtyard garden, with ample space for you and your canine companion to enjoy the fresh air. It also has a lovely wood burner for warming those chilly paws and feet after bracing country walks.
Step inside via the hall with your happy hound behind you. Hang his lead and leave your outerwear before entering the welcoming kitchen/diner. Reward your contented canine with his dinner and find everything you need in here to help you cater for the rest of your party too. Congregate round the table for lively meals before ambling through to the lounge for relaxing evenings in together. Light a fire in the wood burner so your chum can doze in the pleasant heat while you watch the Smart TV. Settle him for the night before making your way up the steep, cottage-style stairs to your bedrooms, a king-size, double and single. The family bathroom is also up here and there is an external snug where you and your four-pawed pal can unwind quietly from time to time. Carry your first cup of tea of the day, with your delighted dog at your heel, out into the garden on fine mornings. This is also a great place to bask in the sunshine on summer afternoons. There is parking for one small or medium-sized car. Please park carefully as the space is tight.
Pick up the dog lead and walk just 0.5 miles with your faithful friend to explore the estate at the National Trust’s Barrington Court. Follow scenic footpaths through the rolling Dorset National Landscape, 8.5 miles away, or the Quantock Hills, 17 miles from the cottage.
