Find heaven for hounds when you take Rex to this gorgeous Cornish retreat. Sleeping six guests, the four-bedroom property is an exceptional option for a group with a pet as it comes with a magnificent, mature garden. Situated near Trelowth, 2 miles from Saint Austell, it is well located for sandy beaches where Rex can leave his paw prints.

Wander inside this beautifully presented holiday home, leaving walking boots, beach sandals and dog leads in the hall as you pass. Take Rex into the snug, which features exposed stonework, to enjoy a few quiet moments as you watch the Smart TV. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is another firm favourite with four-legged friends as they can mill about with everyone else in the party and feel part of the group. Feed Rex in here, prepare meals for everyone else and gather round the table or on the L-shaped sofa, while your chum stretches out on the rug. There is a door to the garden, making coming and going during the warmer months very easy. Settle Rex downstairs for the night before you head up to bed. A king-size bedroom, two doubles and a single are all on the first floor, together with the family bathroom, with a lovely freestanding bath and walk-in shower. The incredible garden is the perfect place for Rex to play. Watch him run about the lawns and through the trees in the orchard, while you simply relax. There is also a games room at this retreat. Guests have parking for two cars.

Head down to the beautiful sandy beach at Carlyon Bay, 4 miles away, which is dog friendly all year round. Those with energetic pets might like to pick up the South West Coast Path here. Visit the Lost Gardens of Heligan, 4 miles away, with Rex.

We loved the house for our recent stay. There was everything we needed. The beds were comfy and we all slept really well. The bathroom was well equipped with great water pressure for the shower and lots of storage. Everything was clean. Yes, the house is old (1880s ?) and you do expect creaky floors and some cobwebs but all adds to the charactRead moreer. We loved it. The large garden was amazing, loved the orchard with the promise of lots of produce later in the year. Lots of areas to sit outside to enjoy the garden (when it stopped raining!). Great location 10 mins from St Austell and good for local attractions, Eden Project, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Charlestown, Fowey, and Mevagissey. We loved the Sunday roast at the Polgooth Inn and The Longstore in Charlestown was fantastic for a special lunch. A great stay - thank you Hide

We stayed here with our two children during the Easter holidays. Please be aware the garden is not fully or accurately shown in the pictures on the Holiday Cottages website. It is not, at present, 'beautifully maintained' as described. We trust this issue will be addressed for future visitors following our complaint. Specific things to be aware of Read morethat are not mentioned online, that may be of interest to families when accessing suitability, are the open pond and unsafe derelict farm buildings, which the owner states visitors are to keep away from in the manual (that you only see upon arrival at the property). There is no fence to stop visitors accessing this. If you are visiting this property with children, be aware the garden is hazardous and contains excessive rubbish that needs tidying up or fencing off. Do not leave children unattended. We found rusty nails, broken jagged fencing (wooden and metal) metal posts sticking out the ground at angles, discarded household rubbish, broken sharp garden pots, chemical containers, plastic bags of rubbish, rusted shopping baskets, broken glass on the floor from the greenhouse roof, kitchen appliances, broken and mouldy garden furniture. It needs clearing and making safe for holiday let purposes. There is a rodent problem in the loft. We heard a lot of scurrying around every night. The bathroom and kitchen were to a very good standard. Appliances are good. I would recommend this property to adults only, not to families. No welcome pack etc. True self-catering, take soap, toilet rolls and so on. Towels and bedding were very clean and of a good standard. Hide

Great location and plenty of space for our family of 5 adults, 1 child and 1 baby! We really enjoyed having the games room as it was pretty wet and windy outside. The house manager was easy to contact and helpful when we needed her.

Had a lovely stay at Coliza Farm. The kitchen was well equipped and clean, the bathroom was amazing with rainfall shower and freestanding bath. Beds were comfortable. The garage was used as a games room with snooker table, dart board, football table and table tennis table. We spent so many hours of fun in there, especially when the weather was Read morenot on our side. The lane to the property is extremely narrow so anything bigger than a SUV would struggle to squeeze past the walls of neighbouring houses. The garden was huge and our dog loved playing with her frisbee in the lawned area at the back. Very close to St Austell and all amenities, plus lots of attractions nearby so a great base to visit Cornwall. Hide

We stayed at Coliza farm cottage for 4 days in September 2025. We found the property is in an excellent location to explore all around beautiful Cornwall. Excellent value for money. Plenty kitchen utensils, cutlery and crockery. Comfy beds, beautiful, huge garden, with plum and apple trees, which we enjoyed. We had a lovely stay here!
