Just metres from the sea and promenade, this charming coastal retreat in Mumbles is ideally placed for salty-air strolls, shoreline adventures, and fish-and-chip suppers with your faithful friend in tow. With a fully enclosed garden less than half a mile from the bustling heart of the village, it’s a fantastic base for couples or small families with a wag-tailed wanderer eager to explore.

Step through the front gate and into the porch – just the spot for wiping sandy paws and hanging damp leads. Inside, the hallway leads to a bright open-plan lounge and dining room. The bi-fold doors open to the enclosed courtyard garden, so your dog can potter in and out. The cottage-style kitchen is thoughtfully equipped with everything you need for rustling up seaside feasts or simple snacks, and upstairs, you'll find two airy double bedrooms finished in calming tones for a restful night’s sleep. There’s a family bathroom, plus a separate cloakroom for added convenience. Out back, the secure courtyard garden features bench seating and pretty planted borders where you can unwind with a book while your four-legged chum snoozes in the sun. On-street parking is available nearby.

Mumbles is known for its vibrant mix of independent shops, galleries, and tempting eateries. Wander the Victorian pier, sniff around the ruins of Oystermouth Castle (0.5 miles), or enjoy a scoop of award-winning ice cream while your pup takes in the sea breeze. For beach days, the Gower Peninsula offers many sandy riches. Whether chasing waves at Rhossili (17 miles away and voted the UK's number one dog beach by The Times), rock-pooling at Oxwich (11 miles), or meandering through the dunes at Three Cliffs Bay (8 miles), your four-pawed pal will be in heaven.
