Nestled beneath the mighty Blencathra – one of the Lake District’s most iconic peaks – this stone-built haven is just the spot for families, friends, and their faithful companions to enjoy an adventure-packed escape. With contemporary, open-plan living, an enclosed patio garden and breathtaking views right on your doorstep, your canine pal will be in heaven exploring the surrounding fells and forests.

Inside, the cosy lounge offers a snug retreat after a day on the trails, with a lovely corner sofa for stretching out on. A few steps up, the well-equipped kitchen and dining area make mealtimes a breeze. On the mezzanine level, a desk area provides a peaceful nook for catching up on emails. A handy ground-floor double bedroom and shower room present easy access for guests who prefer to stay on one level. Upstairs, under the charming beams, you’ll find a second double bedroom and a bunk room – perfect for younger guests. A second shower room ensures there’s no queuing after muddy walks. The enclosed rear garden is lovely for those bringing their four-legged family members along. With space to potter and sniff around, it’s a peaceful setting to enjoy the fresh air. Sip your morning brew while gazing out over open countryside, or dine at the outdoor table as the sun sets over the fells. Private parking for two cars is provided.

Perched on the lower slopes of the mountain, this welcoming bolthole has front-row access to some of the best walking and cycling routes in the national park. And when you’re ready to explore a little further, the bustling market town of Keswick is 6.5 miles away – brimming with dog-friendly cafes, lively pubs, and quirky shops. For a well-earned treat after a long walk, there’s a pet-positive local pub serving hearty meals and local ales less than a mile from your door.

Lovely last minute getaway at the cottage. very spacious, clean and ideal location to Keswick and walks. We did have a few issues whilst there with our neighbours as they were playing music extremely loud till 3/4am both every night. We did contact holiday cottages to see if someone could have a word but nothing changed. I understand your away to hRead moreave fun but this was just extreme! We were disappointed that nobody had a word with them as we literally couldn't sleep and didn't help that the cottage beds were not comfortable. the cottage is on a working farm which was no issue either! I would likely revisit if we didn't have the issues with the guests in the cottage next to us. Thanks Hide
