This delightful three-storey cottage enjoys a prime position in the heart of Ilfracombe's historic harbour. The holiday retreat, which sleeps three guests and two furry companions, makes a great base for couples and small families looking to explore the North Devon coast. You'll be spoilt for choice when it comes to dog walks in the area, with clifftop walks directly from the town as well as easy access to the wild and remote landscape of Exmoor National Park.
The former fisherman's cottage is decorated in a contemporary style and features colourful soft furnishings, artwork on the walls, and an array of creature comforts to make you and the pups feel at home. Leave dog-walking gear in the hallway before heading through to the stylish kitchen, where you'll find everything needed for a self-catering break. Adjacent to the kitchen is a separate dining room with a tiled floor and panelled wall, offering a quiet spot for sharing mealtimes as a group. This is also a good place for the woofers to set up camp. Upstairs, a light-filled lounge awaits with plump sofas and a Smart TV, as well as a selection of guitars for musical guests to enjoy. The single bedroom is also located on this floor. Climbing the stairs to the top floor, discover a spacious double bedroom with tasteful decor and plenty of storage. The family bathroom rounds off the accommodation. Outside, accessed via the kitchen, is a quaint, enclosed courtyard where you and your canine buddies can relax in the sunshine. There is a public carpark directly behind the cottage.
Head out of the cottage to stroll around the historic harbour with the woofers, or perhaps join a boat trip to explore the rugged coastline from the water. The town has a fantastic choice of independent pubs and restaurants, many of which welcome four-pawed diners. Ilfracombe is a fantastic base for keen walkers, with a variety of routes branching away from the town offering spectacular sea views and wildlife watching opportunities. The stretch of the South West Coast Path towards Woolacombe is particularly scenic. Further afield, enjoy day trips to the idyllic coastal villages of Lynton and Lynmouth (19 miles), or spend the day at the beach at paw-friendly Saunton Sands (10.5 miles).
