With a dog-friendly pub on the doorstep and an idyllic little cove just 350m down the lane, this romantic retreat makes a fine choice for a couple and their pair of canine companions. Private parking means you can explore this gem of a location at your leisure; pick up the South West Coast Path for a challenging walk – Land’s End is 12 miles and Mousehole 5 miles.

Located in captivating Lamorna Cove, this contemporary cottage features a chic, full-of-light open-plan living space where people and pets can escape the outside world in comfort. Close by, the village inn offers an enticing range of food and refreshments, but for romantic nights in the kitchen has all the chef’s essentials. Dine by the window before snuggling up in front of the Smart TV; exposed beams and a wood burner enhance the cosy ambience. Once the pets are settled for the night, your bedroom has a calming palette and a comfortable double bed. Adjacent, the shower room is perfect for washing off the sand and suncream at the end of your day’s adventures. Step outside and the raised decking area has furniture so you can enjoy al fresco drinks and snacks at any time of day. Your private off-road parking will prove invaluable – the pet-friendly beach is a pleasant walk away and has a highly-rated café at the water’s edge.

Follow the South West Coast Path for walkies with a view. At Porthcurno (7 miles) the Minack Theatre is one of the UK’s most famous outdoor amphitheatres; dogs and their owners can explore the sub-tropical gardens that stretch down to golden sands. Head east and Mousehole has a labyrinth of narrow streets to sniff out, plus sturdy breakwaters that protect the village from the force of the sea. A little further along the coast, Newlyn is the South West’s largest fishing port – watch trawlers land their latest catch, or learn about the School of Art which was established here in the late 19th century.

Lovely little cottage with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Not huge parking space, had to manoeuvre carefully around outside seating at pub.

Kiddlywink is just perfect. It is the best equipped holiday accommodation I have ever stayed in. Little touches like the fresh Cornish Coffee, Prosecco & milk in the fridge a coffee machine with pods & a cafetire were lovely & it was a nice surprise to have excellent WiFi. The cottage was nice and warm with the electric heating & really cosy witRead moreh the wood burning stove going. Everywhere was spotlessly clean & the bed & pillows were really comfortable with quality bedding. The bathroom is lovely & modern & the towels nice & fluffy. It was a big plus for me to be able to walk to the cove in just a few minutes to enjoy the beach & access the coastal path. It was also good to have an outside light & to be close to the pub when going outside at night time with my dog ( another handy little extra was the torch which was provided). On my first evening I hadnt thought to book a table for dinner at Lamorna Wink, but Lynsey very kindly fitted me & my crazy spaniel in & I enjoyed a delicious fish & chips & pint. I returned again for Sunday lunch which was also delicious as was the pint of Betty Stoggs I had too! I will certainly return to stay at Kiddlywink & would recommend this delightful holiday cottage to anyone wishing to enjoy a quiet, relaxing break in a beautiful setting. Hide

What a great little cottage! We had a terrific week here in mid-October. Accommodation was comfortable and compact and had everything we needed for the two of us and our dog. Very well equipped, finished to a high standard and spotlessly clean. Location, especially out of high season was nigh on perfect being next to the pub (check opening times!Read more) and only a short walk to Lamorna Cove beach. Really nice walks from the door and relatively short drives to other places of interest. Would love to come again Hide

The cottage was ideally situated for our break and exploring West Cornwall. It is also right next to the pub. We eat at the pub on 2 occasions and have to say the food was delicious and outstanding both in quality, quantity and value for money. The landlord and landlady were very friendly and hospitable, nothing was too much trouble. They even gavRead moree us a card and chocolates on our anniversary. Hide

Absolutely perfect! We loved our stay at The Kiddleywink, the cottage was ample for two containing everything you would need. A great location for exploring West Cornwall - lovely to retreat to a quiet cove each day. We ate at the Lamorna Wink on a few occasions - it was superb - highly recommend the Sunday Lunch (ensure you book first). Lovely CoRead morernish feel with lots of memorabilia in the pub, great conversation with the locals followed by a short walk down to the mesmerising cove each evening.
