Set on a welcoming working farm in the rolling hills of the South Hams, this picture-perfect thatched retreat is a wonderfully cosy countryside escape for families, friends and loyal four-pawed companions. Tucked just a mile from the picturesque village of Malborough, this peaceful retreat is bursting with character and promises tail-wagging walks, scenic views, and plenty of room to relax both inside and out.

This escape embraces its rural setting with a reverse-level layout, placing the light-filled living area upstairs to make the most of the stunning views. The open-plan lounge, kitchen and dining area is full of rustic charm with exposed beams, vaulted ceilings and a stylish gas fire. Large picture windows frame the landscape beyond, making it a wonderful place to curl up with your hound at your feet after a day of exploring. Downstairs, four bedrooms await. Choose from two king-size rooms, a twin, and a bunk bedroom (single over double). A bathroom and a shower room ensure convenience for all. Step outside, and you'll find a paved patio area for laid-back breakfasts or dinner under the stars. For safety, four-legged adventurers must stay on the lead when exploring the grounds due to the livestock, but with nearby beaches and trails to roam, there’s no shortage of off-the-lead fun to be had. There’s also private parking for three cars, making it easy for groups to travel together.

With a footpath right from the doorstep, you can enjoy unhurried strolls to the coastal village of Hope Cove (2 miles), home to two sandy beaches for splashing paws, sandy snouts and rock pool adventures. You’ll also find friendly pubs and farm shops nearby, where dogs are greeted as warmly as their humans. Nearby Salcombe (3.5 miles) offers estuary cruises where you can spot seabirds, seals and more with your canine companion by your side.

This property is in a lovely location. Very quiet with lots of different walks. We had a few chilly days but the heater in lounge kept us nice and cosy Interior is a bit tired and could do with a bit of maintenance. However we all enjoyed ourselves, especially the dogs, we would definitely holiday there again

A lovely building albeit very tired. We had very little heating and were cold the entire stay despite having being supplied with 2 electric heaters that barely worked. No welcome pack supplied

We really enjoyed a relaxing family weekend at the barn, which was very comfortable and homely. Great location & so peaceful as well as being close to other beautiful local attractions - Salcombe, Hope Cove, Bolt Head & Tail cliff walks & Bantham beach. Hannah was very helpful, thank you.

Broadmoor Farm is ideally situated in the countryside for a relaxing stay or to visit the local beaches and towns in that locality. It is attached to a small working farm with its range of free range animals which kept our great granddaughter intrigued by their antics as piglets mixed with goats, hens and Hereford cattle..
